Room 612 had all working items, A/C , plumbing, lighting, TV, Ice box and the room was clean.The Valet parking is great. I feel safe at this hotel. The towels are a bit thin and rough some times. I stay two night a week here for the last year on business. The OJ was a bit diluted as was the coffee , but the fresh fruit was good.
When shopping for hotels we found those that were extremely expensive and those with bad reviews or poor location. We were pleasantly surprised with this la quinta. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and well kept during our stay. The room we had, a king, was very large. Breakfast was what you might expect for a free breakfast, but lots of choices. For what little time we spend in a hotel when we travel, the value is always a priority; however in this case our expectations were exceeded. Guess all the effort spent to find just the right place paid off! The only down side, and I'm not exactly sure it was considering the price, was valet. Valet was $10 a night cheaper than any other hotel we looked at but is not run by the hotel itself. The most we waited was 20 minutes, but the valet is run by Central Parking. In watching them work, we realized they use several different lots, not necessarily the one closest to the hotel, hence the delay in sometimes getting your car. But again, for the price, it was worth it.
This was a fantastic trip and laq was the reason. We would stay here again quick- thanks laq. If you are looking for a good deal and want to be close to everything this is your best value. ............;?
The location of this hotel is great. We were able to walk everywhere and took the cable car to the Garden District. There is a nearby park to walk the dog. The room was clean and did not smell 'doggie' being on the 8th pet- friendly floor. Yes, occasionally you could hear a dog barking but this is the pet-friendly floor and we pet owners understand and are just glad to have a nice hotel that accepts our furry kids. I read some reviews complaining about elevator noise but we were across from the elevator and did not hear it. Also, our air conditioner worked fine. The only complaint about the room was the TV didn't work. But we weren't there much to watch anyway and didn't want to be bothered with repair. Breakast offerings were the usual, but, in N.O. you need to go out anyway and enjoy the local delicacies. Bed comfortable. towels big and soft. clean bathroom. clean floor and carpet. And Pet-Friendly!
This hotel was within walking distance for me to bourbon street. The trolley picks up around the block on st Charles. I didn't eat the buffet or use pool.the staff was helpful and polite.I would stay here again. With most hotels in the area there is a parking fee but it only took about 10 mins to have valet bring it up whenever we needed to use it.
