It has been there a while so it is a bit worn in places but it is clean and offers a descent little breakfast. (I could tell they were painting a couple of my surrounding rooms but did NOT smell the paint-which was a plus to me!) I didn't have a chance to use the pool but it looked clean and the outside is nice, too. I flew through (or rather around) the tornado in Moore, OK and so arriving many hours late into the Phoenix airport my rental car had been given away but I was greeted warmly by the staff at the hotel at 3:30 AM and thankful my BED had not gone up for grabs as well!
There are many restaurants to choose from in the nearby area for other meals and lots of things to do in the surrounding area.
We stayed at this Hotel while visiting family. The hotel is in a great location with many shopping centers and restaurants close by. However, the great thing about this hotel is the friendly and knowlegable Desk Staff. The provided breakfast was not up to La Quinta standards (we stay at different La Quinta's 6-8 times a year. The rooms are large and very well furnished. We would stay at this hotel agin if we're ever in the area.
Great service, actually.. the best. Thank you. Room was perfect! Will go back continually. The surrounding area is perfect and what a great view. Gave me best room available which you dont find everyday.
We had a wonderful stay, hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was fantastic! I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Phoenix area, very close to shopping, restaurants and the expressway.
The big draw for us was the Buffalo Wild Wings right across the parking lot, so we booked a room at this La Quinta on our way to Carlsbad. The lobby is wide open, clean and spacious. We were assigned a room on the 6th floor. The elevator was warm and the ride slow. The floor had a smell we could not clearly identify - almost like an open mop bucket had been left out. When we got to our room, the beds were made, but a K-Mart bag of trash was spilling out in the middle of the floor, along with a pole extension for a paint roller. A screen from the window was propped against the wall and the room did not smell any better than the hallway. The person working the desk was very professional about it (very personable and happy to change us to a different room). The second room was clean and quiet,with a firm mattress and substantial pillows, but the table had a broken leg (like someone had karate kicked it). We propped it back up and was able to make it work. The room was also warm, despite the air conditioner set to 69.
Breakfast was fine - standard fare of pastries, bagels, and cereals along with juice, water, milk, and coffee. Aside from the dirty first room, warmth, and strange smell, and ok experience for one night.
