If you like to hear dogs barking incessantly, then this is the place for you! I'm not sure if there is a dog show here this weekend, but there could be. It's incredible to me how inconsiderate some dog owners are. The dogs barked all night long. The staff seems nice and helpful and the room was clean, but there was a foul odor in the hall. Maybe the smell comes from all the dogs. Next time I'll choose a place that does not allow pets. My mistake that I will not make again.

This is a very nice La Quinta with a very inviting lobby area. We had no reservations and were just looking for a place to stay, seeking two rooms. The front desk clerk, while not exactly beaming with personality, was very nice and did his job well. Tod us exactly how to get to our rooms, and gave all the details of the hotel. Room one, got to it very clean and quite spacious, but had a strong odor. Not completely foul, just maybe of old stale cigarettes. No problem. Room 2, put key in opened door. Immediately turned around shut door and headed for lobby. This room had not been cleaned yet. The clerk apologized, and quickly got a different room. It was fine. Also spacious and comfortable. When told about the odor in Room 1, the crew sent up a worker who sprayed air freshner in the room, and it seemed okay after a while. Room 2 took a little while to cool off. But both were clean. and comfortable. Seeing another reviewer who also stayed in May 2013 sya something about the room not being completely clean makes me wonder if maybe this was just a bad week for the housekeeping crew, considering the odor and the unclean room we got. New housekeeping manager? etc... Assuming a clean room, I would definitely stay here again. Very easy to get in and out of and close to businesses.

We arrived around 7 pm and we were very impressed with our surroundings. This hotel has been beautifully updated. We went on to eat supper and after returning, we spread our bed sheets back. To our dismay, we found hair in them. The front desk did not answer the phone, but I went down and requested fresh sheets. They offered to put them on, but we did that ourselves. We slept fine. Unfortunately, the next morning we found old soap and hair in the shower. Once again, we cleaned it up. We really liked the hotel but felt like more attention needs to be given to cleanliness! We will stay here again, but will look for improvements!

The hotel was clean - Staff was friendly and helpful! Breakfast was very fresh and had a decent variety. Parking for trucks with trailers during Bike fest is the only improvement I can note. Thank You LQ!

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised that the area around the hotel was safe and mostly a shopping area. The main negative was my view overlooked the noisy highway and trainyard. Thankfully the room had a wall thermostat where the fan could run all night which drowned out most of the noise. However the walls are paper thin & I could hear others around me. Thankfully most are staying here for work so not a rowdy bunch or a problem. Very nice Executive King Suite. Loved the microwave & minifridge tucked away. Nice large flat screen TV and couch in sitting area. Comfy bed with great pillows. Great value as hotel was just renovated in Oct 2012!
