This hotel is located perfectly. Beautiful neighborhoods, great businesses and restaurants nearby, with several medical offices and a hospital complex at its backdoor. The lobby is current and trendy, the front desk staff are courteous and attentive, and work efficiently as they check you in. I come from a very small, rural Texas town, so I was a little nervous about how the "city slickers" would treat this small town girl. I need not have worried. The front desk clerk was just as friendly as if she lived next door. The trip down the hallway was my first clue to the size of the rooms. The hallway was spacious, clean, and oversized. When we entered our room we gasped. How large it is! So spacious and beautifully decorated! From the ultra soft bedding, with tons of pillows, to the window covered with a unique system of shades that add a wonderful decorative touch to the room--we were in love! The bathroom, with its cute double doors, seemed as if it was double the standard size of a hotel bathroom. The closet even had a real door, not like the sliding doors so commonly found in hotel rooms. The whole room seemed to exude excellence. The La Quinta corporation had definitely gone the extra mile in decorating this hotel. Our sleep was great; we heard nothing the whole night. The breakfast was waffles, fruit, muffins, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, with juice, coffee, and milk. Of course, it was yummy. We wouldn't mind staying at this hotel MANY more times. It was a great value. A lot of bang for your buck.

We had a great stay! The staff was so nice. We had gone down at the end of breakfast because we had woken up late. But instead of just putting things away the gentlemen came over and asked if there was anything we needed. He waited until we had finished to take down the breakfast. It these little things that make the difference.

I had a king room at this hotel and really liked the contemporary décor. It had coffee maker, large flat screen TV, microwave and refrigerator. It had a wall to wall desk area running the full width of the room ? it was great ? I never had some much work space. The free internet was easy to access and pretty fast. The window blind instead of a plain white blind had a fancy design on it contributing to the room?s décor. This hotel has a very nice pool area which is beautifully landscaped ? very appealing. The free breakfast was okay but did not have any hot plates like eggs, bacon, etc. The one knock I have on this hotel was that the wall seemed very thin. Part of the problem was that I was near the vending & ice machine which was getting a lot of use. Staff were professional and helpful. One request I would make of anyone staying in any hotel anywhere is don?t let your door slam shut. It only takes a second to slowly close the door so it does not disturb your neighbors.

This is my favorite La Quinta in North Texas -- I am always wiling to travel miles out of my way to stay here because I can depend on the service and accommodations. I love the big work areas and unlike many other La Quintas, this one has ENOUGH LIGHT for me to work in the room. Bravo, La Quinta Plano West!

The staff here is fantastic, great people who are very helpful. This is an older hotel with very thin walls though. You could hear people in the next room talking, watching tv, or taking a shower. I know management can't do anything about the walls but it still effects one's feeling of privacy within the property. The hotel rooms are well maintained for the most part and very clean. The sink in our room was badly cracked though which wasn't very appealing. I took a shower around 8:30am one morning but the water was ice cold. It took about 20 minutes before it got warm enough I could take a shower. I would stay at this place again just be aware it does have a few minor issues.
