This was my first and will be my last time staying at this wreck they call a hotel. The doors in the room does not close properly. The front desk checked me into a dirty room. The walls are too thin. The staff are rude. Dogs were barking down the hallway. Children were running down the halls. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We were booked into this hotel for a wedding we were attending. When we arrived, the clerk at the front desk informed us that the card used to reserve the room was not good to pay for the room, and that they would either have to re-swipe the card or have each guest pay on their own. This was highly inconvenient for the party who set up the reservations and had specifically instructed that his card be used to both reserve the rooms and pay for them. When we got up to our floor, the smoke smell poured onto us as soon as we stepped off of the elevator. While our room did not smell smokey, it was bad enough to actually permeate under the door and make the room smell like smoke when we woke up the next day. They don't have proper towel racks to hang two towels, so their efforts to "remain green" by giving you the option of leaving your towels on the rack are useless. They also only provide a single bar of soap and a tiny bottle of conditioning shampoo? no lotion, no mouthwash, nothing at all extra. When we left in the morning, we put a card on our pillow that was left by the management in case we wanted our bed linens changed by housekeeping. When we returned, the card was still on our pillow and the linens had not been touched (although housekeeping had clearly been there, since our towels had been replaced). Finally, the breakfast offerings were lackluster. It seems as though this La Quinta is trying to "check the box" by claiming to have lots of amenities, and then skimping on the materials and labor when providing them. How unfortunate. We will not stay here again, nor will we recommend it to anyone else.

When in the Norman-Oklahoma City area I always stay at this motel because of its location, the availabilty of good eating and shopping in the immediate area and it is close to Riverwind Casino - the best casino in Central Oklahoma.

I'm used to hotels that I have to go INSIDE to get to my room. At this hotel, my door opened directly out into the parking lot. With that said, I didn't feel apprehensive about the location. The room was nice, clean and smelled fresh. The desk clerk was awesome and provided information on a new LaQuinta rewards program that I might be interested in. She even called after I arrived in my room to make sure I was happy with the room! Most hotels I stay at have more sports and news channels on the tv than anything else. At the LaQuinta, Ardmore, I was happy to find several movie channels that I didn't have to pay for to watch. Breakfast the next day was awesome....a very large selection.

We stay at La Quintas all around the US frequently. Last year we stayed in another in the chain near the AFB and decided not to go back due to noise. When we pulled up the the LQ in Norman and went in to register, we were initially impressed with the reception/great room/breakfast area. When we got to our room, were we're once again impressed. The room was huge, it looked as if it had recently been remodeled and had all the usual amenities. Breakfast was good and the front desk staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner next door at Jason's Deli, which was good, not great. There is also an Italian restaurant and an IHOP with in walking distance. We will return to this property.
