You'd think for as nice as this hotel seemed on the outside that the rooms would be great too. I chose this hotel for the mere fact that it was pet friendly with no deposit required, where others charge per night $25- $125 for your furry friend to stay with you. When I arrived this evening the room phone did not work, the bedside lamps didnt work and the microwave had someone else's leftover hamburger in it --not mine. I discovered it when my lukewarm Pizza Hut pizza finally arrived! To the niceness of the room, it was all great except for the above problems and the clerk at the front desk came up and solved the problems. She went above and beyond the call of duty and I applaud her!

We have stayed at this hotel over a period of about 10 years, and this time we noticed several factors that made us think it is time for a re-do. The furniture is worn, the carpet looks old and worn and the plumbing fixtures are outdated. We will probably do back because of the location and the fact that we can take our dogs, but if we find a more updated, clean property,we will move. The staff is always friendly and helpful, but generally they have too much to do, especially in the morning when people are swarming around the food and things run out and the person behind the desk who is trying to check people out is the same one who has to replenish the breakfast bar. I really hope they are set for an update because we want to go back.

My son attends the University of Alabama, so we have stayed here multiple times . The staff have been really nice and the rooms have always been clean and comfortable. You are close to the Galleria for excellent shopping and dining choices.

Finally. A La Quinta that shows what the television commercials show. Friendly staff, check. Clean room, check. Clean bathroom, check. This place is well maintained. No water damage. Carpet looks clean, impressive considering it is an animal friendly chain. I haven't heard any dogs barking or cats meowing. Elevator. Well, this is a spot the management should focus. In several trips up/down on the elevator over the course of my stay, there have been Two, 2, dos, french fries laying on the floor of the elevator. It could use a thorough cleaning. I would stay here again. Few minutes drive to food.

Hotel & staff was great. 5.6 miles from riverchase mall very quite so excellent place to stay. The Wi-Fi in this La Quinta has a very strong signal. And we like calm and not the middle of the city setting but with in minutes of the action.
