"La Quinta Sherman"

The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. The hotel is in an ideal location, and though it is close to the highway, I have always gotten a good night sleep (at least on the third floor, facing west). The one thing I would improve would be maintenance on the refrigerators. They're a little loud.

It seems we don't always receive points for staying at LaQuinta hotels. There have been times when we stayed and sometimes they say you must book thru the 800 number other times we are told the opposite. When we travel and just to get a room, it seems we never get points, such as when we stayed in Mississippi, and LaQuinta was pure nasty, but had no choice as other as we always stay at LaQuintas.

"Customer was not a happy camper"

When I arrived at the hotel customer service was great. I went up to my room and noticed a used bar of soap on my shower and the shower looked dirty from the previous guest. The next day I reported the issue and from desk assured me that hey would make sure that the house keeping would clean my whole room all over again, but once I got back to my room the bar of soap was still in the same spot and the only thing that I could see was my bed being made. Hope they can get this issues fixed. Overall customer service was good.

"Very good stay"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Aug 19, 2014

Just stayed for 3 nights. Staff exceptional, kudos there. Breakfast are is very large and comfortable with the standard LQ fare. Fruit, breads, juices, everything fresh, which is a huge plus. Stayed here with the wife in 2010 and it was still a great bargain for Sherman. My room was on the 4th floor and it was very clean, some cosmetic issues to be expected in a motel, but nothing like mold mildew and damage. I had a double and was by myself, the "extra" bed had old satins on the cover sheet, faded, but needed to be retired IMO. Bed was in great shape and got good sleep, pillows where "plump". Bath towels where better than usual, nice and full. Would agree that 2 bottles of shampoo and more soup in a double room would make sense, but you can get more at the front desk. The little coffee pot still had half a tank of water and housekeeping had put the creamer package and coffee packets in it without looking, they where water logged. No matter, I have a 12 cup Coffee maker I take when working out of town since ost motel coffees taste like ground cardboard anyway LOL. Dint have a microwave or fridge, which for me staying for several days, is a great convenience. Parking is adequate, especially if your in a car. Trailer parking is limited. The 1st day I had to park my truck and trailer in an adjoining lot 200 yards away which makes me nervous. There was room in the motel lot, but a few jackwagons parked their trucks and trailers in such a way to block off some parking. Plus there was an 18 wheeler that took up some room. regular cars had allot of spaces though. I found the motel to look clean throughout, but in one place, the elevators. There are elevators at each end of the building (big plus), the one near the front is just plain filthy, sticky floor and horrid walls, for all 3 days. 10 minutes of cleaning would have fixed it. I found it odd that they overlook this, even though the whole staff uses them daily. Pool area appeared clean, water looked nice, but I didn't use it. WIFI worked great on the 4th floor. There are many lessor motels in the area I have stayed at and a few better (higher priced). I stayed here for half of what Comfort inn or Holiday inn next door charges. Great value for lodging. Don't overlook this motel, save some $ and give it a shot. Again, the staff are super at this property and all speak English :)

I stayed at this location the weekend of 8/1/14 and had a wonderful experience. I was with my 11 year old granddaughter and Boston Terrier. The lady at the front desk, June, was very helpful and made the stay even better although the entire staff was outstanding. I will stay no where else but here in the future..Rooms was clean, cool and comfortable...
