"A lot of things broken..."
Reviewed Jul 18, 2014

I read all the great reviews of this hotel on tripadvisor and the price for it is really good so we decided to stay on our way through Dallas. I wanted to like the hotel but there were quite a few things broken which soured my opinion of it. If you are looking for a cheap hotel that had a modern updates feel, you can gamble and hope they have fixed their issues. We just had too many things wrong that makes it hard for me to recommend.
Our GPS had a hard time finding it but our first impression was very positive as the exterior and lobby looked really nice. As we got to our room, we found a concerning number of things broken.
The elevator up to the third floor was really hot and had a foul smell. Then the third floor hallway was also hot and smelled like marijuana. We thought maybe the power had gone out or something but another guest mentioned it is always warm up there. Not a huge deal to us as we mostly care if our room is comfortable. My wife found out later that both the ice machine and the other elevator on the third floor were broken. We had to go down a floor to get ice. The next morning the ice machine was working again. But the elevator was not fixed. Minor thing since there was another elevator on the floor but we were starting to see a trend of things broken down.
The first impression of our room was mixed as it is nice looking and good size. The entry way is really big. However our room was also warm. As I did some investigating, the window of our room was open, which was concerning as to why the maid wouldn't have caught that when preparing our room. After taking my shoes off, I felt my socks getting wet and realized that the air conditioner was leaking water all over the carpet. We called down to tell the front desk, and they offered us a different room but they couldn't fix the a.c. until Monday morning (this was a Saturday). We declined the room change as we had already settled in and were needing to go eat. The room never got cold like we wanted it, but it was never uncomfortably hot later in the night.
The bed was comfortable. The room had a fridge and microwave, which was nice. The fridge didn't get very cold on its coldest setting but it was probably adequate to keep a small amount of food cool. We kept our food in our cooler just in case. The breakfast was disappointing as there was no warm foods. It included cereal, waffles, apples, bananas, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice, and coffee.
We were able to find a close parking spot each time we needed but the lot was full with very few extra spaces. The location of the hotel in Addison was good as it is just off the tollway and lots of eating options in the area. Downtown is about 10-15 minutes away.
Overall, I would like to give this hotel my recommendation, but too many things broken on our one night stay prevent me from being able to. The price is right, which is the only reason I might consider this hotel in the future.
During a 2 night stay, the air conditioning in the hallway was out, the ice machine was out, the elevator was out. I had 1 kleenex left in the box in the room. Pillows left in a chair when bed was made. Complete mushy bananas.
I enjoyed my stay except the elevator stop working for a couple hours and I was on the third floor. The staff was friendly and efficient during check in and check out. My only other complaint was the ice machine was down on the third floor. This was a little inconvenient but for the price you can't not beat it.
Really nice LQ... One of the best I have stayed at. I have stayed at a lot being an elite member. I just wish they had a hot breakfast . I real cant say enough good things about this hotel, you will enjoy your stay.
I would like to thank all the staff at this hotel. I was greeted and a very friendly and funny receptionist checked me into my room. I am not too familiar with this area and asked the gentlemen at the desk for dining suggestions. They were more then informative. Directions were given and personal references were also given. Then on the morning of check out I was rushing and locked my keys in the room. The delightful receptionist made another key and I was able to get my items. Then I forgot a camera battery charging system and Albert went above and beyond to try and locate the system. I will recommend this to anybody. The hotel is also pet friendly which is a huge plus on the next trip there.
