A La Quinta traveler |
We started using Laquinta Inns for their open pet policy.
Happily, we found them to be affordable, clean, comfortable and with a very friendly staff.
Recently, 400 miles after we had checked out, I realized we had left our bag in the room, including clothes, personal items, medications and jewelry.
We called and they had our bag at the front desk.
They offered to have it FedExed to our home in N.J..
We were also able to make a last minute cancellation at our next intended destination, the LaQuinta in Richmond Va., with no penalty so we could drive straight through to N.J..
Of course we wondered if we would ever see our bag again and if so, when and would it still contain the jewelry and medications.
True to their word, a few days later, the bag was delivered with all the contents intact.
This speaks so loudly to the quality and honesty of their staff.
LaQuinta has earned a customer for life and hopefully by our telling our story will earn them even more business.

The hotel was clean, the bed very comfortable, and we were able to have our pets accompany us. A nice stay for everyone.The staff was very friendly and eager to help.
The breakfast offered was an added bonus. I would recommend extending the breakfast hours.
We stayed at this La Quinta on our way home to Toronto and were very disappointed with the service we received, and the room itself.
It took three trips back and forth from the room we'd been assigned (on the second floor, a good distance from the front desk, with no elevators so up and down stairs each time) before we finally got a set of key cards that worked. And that only after being given a different room. Apparently the locks had been changed and so we were told perhaps ours was not functioning. (the thought of checking the locks after they were changed apparently didn't cross their minds). Once in the room the noise of the air conditioner became quite noticeable - nothing to do but put up with it. The room was clean enough, so no complaints there. The next morning however, we discovered the water pressure on the shower was dismal - shampoo in hair was next to impossible to rinse out. Breakfast was a sad affair.
We have stayed at other La Quinta's and had good experiences - this was very disappointing.
Room we stayed in was POOR. Paint chipping off the walls, small/tight bathroom, beds were old, very uncomfortable, hard time sleeping. NO window cover curtain in room window, so people walking by the floor could see in our room. Light front the outside came through at night, which made sleeping very hard. Both beds were in POOR shape and sagged. NICE STAFF was the only reason I did not call LaQuinta Corp to complain.
I've stayed at many LaQuinta Inn's on the east coast. This hotel is by far the worst. You can barely get a wheelchair in the handicap room. The rooms and breakfast area is not very clean. Why can't all hotels use the packaged syrup for waffles? Putting the syrup containers on the tables is a bad idea. Everything is sticky(even the chairs)... and no one to clean up.This is the second trip to this hotel. There won't be another! The price was very reasonable....but cheap is cheap!
