"Beware of Tiny Toilets"

Beware - most rooms now have new tiny round toilets that are shipped from Corporate. Manager has no ability to remove/change these, even though they get lots of complaints from guests. Otherwise, rooms are clean and updated. Pool area can be noisy. Pet friendly. Will not stay here again due to toilet issue, and I am average size person.

I love your hotels primarily because you are pet friendly. The rooms are clean and service is great. The only thing I would change is getting sleep number beds. These beds are heavenly for those of us with bad backs. Thank you.

"Gambled and won this time."

LQ's are always a crap shoot when you stay at one without seeing it first. This one was the end point for a 13 hour ride for us. Just a place to crash and get up and drive again in the morning. I traveled with 2 children (teens) and 2 dogs. Most importantly, this is a decent LQ. It was clean. That's all I ask for . It was somewhat pleasant, which was a bonus. It actually had a sweet vibe...all I saw were families and dogs. I really appreciate LQ's pet policy and the ability to travel with our beloved family pets. The room got really tight with 2 double and the rollaway for my 16 year old son, but my teens are too huge to share a bed anymore. They did not charge extra for the rollaway or the pets. Our room was on the ground level, 15 seconds walk from the ice and soda machine. it was easy to unpack and repack the car. is this the Ritz? No, it is not. However, it did the job that as needed. there is gas and some chain restaurants nearby. You can even walk to Shoney's if you are tired of driving; it's right across the street. I might add I have stayed at some nasty LQ's on road trips which we booked into sight unseen. I hope this review helps you if you are in a similar situation. I checked it in the b*dbug regstry and it came up as safe. Inexpensive hotels are great ,,but you don't want to have a gift that keeps on giving. This one meets my standards of "clean". Check-in was easy. I did not call housekeeping for any extra needs besides the cot, but I walked by the laundry dept on the way to and from the room a few times and was able to grab a few extra towels from the very nice employee in there, so we could all get a dry towel for our showers. Good luck and happy travels.

"Easy, cheap stay!"

Before I go into specifics, I would like to say that this stay met our needs and was priced low enough that we were willing to put up with the inconveniences. Under the same circumstances, I would be willing to stay in this hotel again. It is right off the highway and located next to a TON of great aces to eat and shop. I wish we hadn't gotten in too late to enjoy them. Having already booked on Hotels.com, we had an extremely easy and fast check in. Our room was on the 2nd floor (no elevators) and opened to the outside. Even though we were right next to the stairs, we were never bothered by any outside noise or traffic. Parking in the back made me a bit nervous, but we didn't have any problems. The room was comfortable and enough for our small family. Without a fridge or close ice machine, we had to forego the chance to ice down our leftovers. As far as the cleanliness of the room, it seemed good on the surface. We later found the floor was about to give away under my husbands footstep. I could see it sink a few inches under is footstep. There was also some black mold around the ceiling of the bathroom and hair in the bathtub. The carpet was also sticky and rough in a few places so we kept our sandals on. Overall, we got what we expected for a $75 hotel room. Since it was just an overnight stop on our way back from spring break, it worked for us just fine, though I wouldn't want to spend more than one night there.

"If you absolutely have to - it's ok"

Due to excessive spring break travelers, we were forced to seek alternate accommodations from our favorite locations and wee required to stay at the the La Quinta. If you are stuck between a rock and a hard place, it's an ok hotel to get a nighst rest. The staff wee friendly, the hotel was "acceptable in a pinch" (yet not returning any time soon!). The price was inexpensive and you get what you pay for.
