"Welcome to La Quinta....with a roach in the Bathroom"

Driving thru Texas to California we reserved a room here for 120 bucks a night!( highway robbery) We arrived at midnight and left at 10am and the only three positives I can say about the place is that the beds were comfy the wifi signal was strong and the continental breakfast was good. (they had Texas shaped waffles) Otherwise, We had one huge roach and multiple gnats in the room, it was too late to complain we were all tired from 16 hours of driving. Thank goodness we had Raid with us, the bathroom was sub par and the carpet was funky. Not worth the price, stay at the Hampton Inn across the way.

"Good for a road trip"

This hotel is a great hotel for a night stand if you're travelling long distances. It has everything you need for a nice stay: Internet conection, free breakfast and a pool; and it's very near to the interstate and a Wal-Mart. I've stayed here three times and I give it three star instead of four because there was one time in which I made an online reservation asking for a non-smoking room and they sent me to a smoking one. Fortunately, after talking with the manager, they arranged for me a discount for my next stay there.

"Great Stay"

We were lucky enough to be able to get a room without a prior reservation. As we were very road weary, we were very grateful a room was available. We always stay at La Quinta when one is available as we travel with our little dog and LaQuinta knows how important it is to be a pet friendly hotel.

"Losing their edge"

Our last two stays at a LaQuinta (Fort Stockton and Lubbock, TX) have been somewhat disappointing. Our room was fine - clean, well-stocked and comfortable - but there are signs of wear-and-tear in this property. The staff were pleasant and visible and the maintenance staff responded quickly to a minor issue. Although Fort Stockton is not a great tourist area, the hotel chain management should attend to the minor cosmetic issues in all their properties. Would stay there again, however, because in general it was a pleasant stay.
