Looks dreadful when you first walk over to the rooms but inside they are fairly clean and the beds are comfy. Towels are usually stained but otherwise quite clean.
There's a lot of traffic noise but you can drown that out with the even noisier air conditioner.
The staff are friendly and helpful. The other guests can be scary. Convention guests are fine but if you arrive a few days before your convention as we did you'll find the place full of very scary looking people who look like they are all there to audition for Jerry Springer.
The plus side of this place is that the bars and restaurants within walking distance are very nice. The downside is it is so very run down: we even got stuck in the elevator and had to force to door open to escape.
If you want somewhere cheap to sleep it is fine here but just don't believe the pictures!
Room was clean, carpets were newer, bed was comfortable, AC worked great, free wifi with strong signal, flat screen TV, mini fridge, and microwave. LaQuinta consistently has a good value for the price. Plus they have coupons on hotelcoupons.com, which makes it even better.
The only minor things they could improve...guest laundry is on the 4th floor! It would be so much more convenient on first floor, rather than lugging laundry up and down. A change machine and machine to sell laundry soap in the laundry room would be good. Lastly, no show descriptions...all said "no info available"...even on station with the TV guide. Had no clue what there was to watch without going through all the stations. No Disney Channel for the kids in Orlando?!?
This hotel is located right on International Drive in Orlando. It is only about 15 minutes from Disney World, Epcot Center and Disney Studios. It is only about 10 minutes from Universal and Islands of Adventure. Cocoa beach is only about 50 minutes away. It has a very nice pool and hot tub as well as a nice breakfast every morning. The cleaning staff are friendly and efficient. We always have a nice clean room to return to after a long day at the parks or the beach. There are many nice restaurants within walking distance and the pool stays open until 11p.m. In the winter the pool is heated. Our family enjoys staying at this hotel whenever we come to Orlando. We think you will enjoy it too.
The gentleman who works the front desk in the morning is very friendly and helpful. I wasn't happy with housekeeping. One day they didn't even come to our room. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfast is good and wished I had time to try the tiki bar by the pool
I have enjoyed many a stay at LaQuinta Inn and Suites. No matter what State,they are always at there best standards. My first search is always LaQuinta! Now the big problem is they want at least 200 characters is a review! I was done but now this is stupid! I hope this is enough now,fools!
