All I can say is that we enjoyed our stay at the Moss Point La Quinta very much! The room was large, clean and comfortable & the staff was friendly. We traveled with our Boykin Spaniel and the staff welcomed us all. There was a dog show nearby and so the hotel was occupied be a number of other pooches.
The staff there was extremely nice and out going. Room were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was as nice as a restaurant. Second time there on a trip and I will stay again. I also love that it is the only hotel on my way that will allow pet to stay without having to pay a nonrefundable fee. Even with big dogs.
This would rate as a slightly below average experience. The hotel looks great from the road but when you get inside, it is a totally different story. The check in desk area is like this little weird room were the attendant stands and checks you in, very minimal and a odd color. The hotel could be a much better place with a little proper TLC. It seems like one of these places where the owner tries to do everything or fix everything himself and ends up making things worse. Housekeeping needs to step it up a little as well. (maybe the owner is doing that as well). It was a decent stay but it could have been so much better. I would hesitantly recommend this location.
PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! This was by far the worst experience in a hotel that I have ever had. Everything was going peachy until time for bed when I pulled the sheets back to discover 3 BUGS!!!! My husband immediately went to the front desk to make them aware of the problem. Well after waiting there 30 mins with zero assistance and it was 1:00am finally someone came to the desk. Once stating our problem the manager was called and said he would be there in the morning. We were given new sheets, but not blankets nor pillowcases. We asked for another room and that was not an option. No one even came in to make our bed back. It was horrible....I didn't sleep at all and had a huge convention the next day! Once my husband woke at the crack of dawn he rushed to the front desk asking for the manager. Sure enough the manager was there. He was extremely rude didn't offer a discount, didn't offer to fix anything to help make us happy, nothing. After a hour of arguing the manager gave the room to my husband for free. I was flabbergasted at the lack of customer service. It was horrible! It was like it was all our fault! Money was not the issue either it was the principle of the whole thing. Be cautious in staying here! The rates are extremely high also. There are other hotels in the area that offer a much better environment. I was so disgusted and will never visit the Moss Point, Ms La Quinta again. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT PICKING THIS HOTEL AS AN OPTION...ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR FAMILY!!!!!
had to change rooms because the toilet in our original room had poop floating in it plus urine on the bowl rim. We were moved quickly to another room- great shower and beds even though we had that little floating problem.
