We enjoyed our stay with plenty of rest from a long flight and a night seeing the sites in Vegas. The room was quiet and comfortable, clean and new, and close to the strip, stores, dining & easy access to the airport. The breakfast was very good as was the employees helpful directions to area attractions. We will surely stay there on our next visit to L V.
We ended our 7 day vacaton in Vegas at the LaQunita - airport south. I'm afraid we are now LaQuinta fans. It's rather hard to believe for only $10.00 a night more than what we paid the other motels, we felt like royalty. The room was huge, we had a microwave, refrig, a closet, very nice bathroom and two huge, very comfortable beds. When we arrived back to the motel after seeing the lights of Vegas we were treated to hot chocholate chips cookies!. Breakfast was the best. I can't say enough good things about our new favorite motel.
We were pleasantly surprised by this La Quinta near the Airport in Las Vegas where we stayed for one night recently. The room was spotless and nicely furnished. We had a refrigerator, microwave, iron, hairdryer, Keurig coffee maker and flat screen TV (although we couldn't get reception for several network channels). The room looked freshly painted also. The bed was very comfortable and so were the pillows. The breakfast was standard with waffles, cereal, toast, bananas, and hard boiled eggs. Because we were right next to the runway at the airport we thought we would hear the planes all night. Surprisingly, the room was very quiet. They had a shuttle to take people to the Strip but we drove ourselves with our rental car and it didn't take long to get there. All in all, this was a great value. It would be five stars if the location were more interesting, but it was nice to get away from the hectic life at the Strip.
The room was as clean as everyone has said in reviews, thank goodness. We were in a room facing the airport and the only time I heard any plane noise at all was very late at night when everything else was extremely quiet. And then, I wouldn't have heard it if I weren't already awake. Because of the reviews, I was expecting an exceptional breakfast and was disappointed the first morning. The breakfast is good but it is not a buffet - only laid out in buffet fashion.
TMI: The breakfast was toast, bagels, pastries, biscuits & gravy, make you own waffles, cereals, juices, coffee, tea and milk. The vanity in the bathroom was much smaller than I like and the lighting wasn't wonderful for putting on makeup. There was no fan in the part of the bath with the tub/shower - but it's dry enough in Vegas that it wasn't a real negative. The grounds have some interesting and unusual plants. The hotel sits just a vacant lot back from a major street (Sunset) but it's on a dead end so almost no traffic on the street in front of the hotel and places to walk when it isn't too hot. The swimming pool was heated just enough to make for a good swim and the spa was large enough to seat 6-10 comfortably.
We would stay here again.
My wife and I recently stayed 2 nights as this hotel. It is relatively new and is well maintained. Housekeeping does a thorough job and rooms were clean. For the top notch condition of the hotel, the price was quite attractive. Plenty of free parking. The free breakfast is okay. We had 2 issues. 1. The rooms do not have room safes; something we like for securing our electronic devices. 2. The hotel permits dogs. While they say that dogs are limited to the first floor, there were quite a number barking on the 3rd floor where our room was. This was significant to us because of an allergy concern.
