"Stench of Dogs"
2 of 5 stars Reviewed Jul 28, 2014

On July 26th we paid approx $115 plus tax and the place looks new and nice, but the odor of dogs was so terrible that our nice, clean room was hard to enjoy. The bed was soft and comfortable, but the strong smell of dogs was hard to stand. The over-worked front desk receptionists were nice and helpful, but nothing could be done to dispel the reeking hotel. This hotel is a shame because it looks good, but is more like a kennel than a place for people. Although perfectly located near I-10 and food, the hotel will not be visited again.

"Never Again!"

Restroom was disgusting. There were hairs on the toilet & in the tub--not to mention what looked like other bodily by - products. Soooooooo gross! I had to scrub the toilet seat with Lysol before I could use it. The sink is in the room, not the bathroom, so it was very inconvenient. The tub & shower made my flesh crawl! We had to buy some Comet cleanser from Walgreens and scrub the tub & shower before we could use it. The carpet smelled and looked as if it hadn't been vacuumed since the 1990's, and the ironing board cover was filthy and the phone didn't even work! I didn't stay in a hotel to clean it--they should have paid us to stay there!

"Ok"
3 of 5 stars Reviewed Jun 27, 2014

Checked in on Saturday to rm 107, very noisy in hallway with some young adults in for competitions. The door is like a sheet of paper. The front desk girl was nice and helpful, but she seemed to always be the person behind the desk. Poor thing looked like she was working three jobs! The carpets were gross (not dirt or physical trash) but they felt nasty on our feet and we did not walk around without shoes on. Windows are single pane and sweat. When I walked past the eating area, the tile was greasy. Every morning, ppl started taking their dogs out. The owners would allow the dogs bark in the hall. Didn't shush them or hurry out/in. RUDE! (I have two dogs of my own.) Washers and dryers cost $1 each, not FREE. The detergent dispenser took my money, but empty. The maid knew we were leaving and had made two trips to the car. At 12:05P she knocks on the door that was not completely closed and said, "housekeeping". I replied I was gathering the last of it (as bf was outside with third load), she said what she thought was under her breath, something to the effect of, you better.....charge u for another day. Classy, professional and glad to have her job--NOT! This is the SAME housekeeper that just told me the bites I had been getting every night were probably flea bites! But she threw in at the end of that info, that the exterminator was coming next week (sure he is, lol!) Pillows were pathetic. Doors locked, phones worked, Internet worked, toilets flushed. For the price of this room, you should get much better.

"Inferior toilets"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed Jun 10, 2014

It is very disconcerting to stay in a motel which has a toilet that is designed (the "trap") such that when sitting on it, portions of the male anatomy dangle in the water. Such toilets should be outlawed, and may be the basis of a class action lawsuit. (This is not because of any generous size of the anatomical parts.)

"Clean Hotel"
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2014

The hotel was clean and the grounds were well groomed. The room was large and very comfortable. The air cooled the room quickly. The only problems we had was the disturbance that was allowed through the hallway and there is NO early check in. (my husband flies in at about 11am from a 14 hour flight) We had to wait until 3 to check in.
