I was checked in by Ryan. I made a mistake by booking for the following day. He said " That happens all the time" So I asked if he had a room and he said " Your in Luck" gave me a handicap room. Which that was fine, I asked him if there was a room with a view like I had requested. He said no. I was sad about it and said well darn nothing is going right. So in front of other customers at the counter he put me down and humiliated me by saying " You were the one that picked the wrong date, So it is your fault" . I have never been treated like that. He could have been so much more understanding and tried to make it a good situation. Plus there was lipstick or something pink on my "clean" wash cloth. The shower was leaking, and you can't take your food to your room you have to try to find a place to sit. Good luck, 12 people were sitting on pool lounges and had their coffee on the concrete. Not a good experience. Takes about 10 min to get into Sedona. Their are hotels for 20.00 more and its worth it.

"Fair Enough"

With a hotel chain like la Quinta you know what to expect. A reasonable room at a reasonable price. While just outside Sedona the location was fine. The room was okay. The complementary breakfast was fine and enough to set us up for the day. Glad our room was well away from the ice making machine which sounded as it was trying to contain all the demons of hell! The receptionist was efficient, but lacked any warmth, which was at odds from the rest of our experience in Arizona.

"worst stay at a La Quinta ever"

We stay at a La Quinta when we travel. I stay on business and pleasure. This was by far the work experience I have had. We were awaken by an extremely loud neighbor. I called the front desk to be relocated into another room, which they did. With no Microwave or refrigerator. I went to the front desk the next morning to discuss my displeasure. I was not looking for a discount or anything else. I thought I might get at least we are sorry. I was to stay 2 more days, I canceled the next two nights. I am a silver member at this time and have been a gold member in the past, so I have stayed at several across the country.

"Reasonable for Red Rock"

To start. I would almost give this motel a 4. I gave it a 3 only because Trip Advisor only allows whole numbers. Otherwise a 3.5 to 3.75. First I will give the minuses (in my opinion) The carpet was stained. Did not really seem dirty, giving it the sock test, but still, numerous stains. Shower faucet needs to be replaced. Strange setup. Not normal and is confusing. Quite a few rooms which are really spread out and only one elevator. Was not an issue for me, since it is only two floors, but a lot of people can't do stairs. Pluses: Price. In the Sedona area it is very rare to find an affordable place such as this. 2 or 3 times as much is not unusual for a similar experience. Quiet. I rarely hear an external sound. The wife snores, or maybe that's my echo, not sure which, but that's our problem. Secure. The area seems safe and free of disturbing elements. Hard to find in this part of the USA. Plenty of parking. Cars are not all crunched together and the parking spots are all good sized, if not oversized. Breakfast is adequate, and actually better than their website leads one to believe. The grounds are nice and wandering. Cacti planted all over the place. I like cacti, and as a side benefit, discourages late night prowlers almost as well as a .45.

"Quiet and close to Sedona"

This hotel is an older property, but very clean. Looks like the rooms are due for a remodel soon, but they keep everything very clean. We stayed 4 nights and requested a room on the top floor (2 floors total) because I had read someone's review that recommended doing that. It certainly was quiet and we had a wonderful view of the red rocks. Our room faced the road, but the Hotel is way back from the road (has a huge parking lot in front) so traffic noise was never a problem. It is a dog friendly hotel, but we never heard any dogs when we were in our hotel room. We did see people taking their dogs outside in the mornings. Breakfast was good and served until 10:30 am. but there was a sign asking you not to take any food out of the breakfast area. Overall it was a convenient affordable clean place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful too.
