We had a family emergency and had to travel from Texas to Washington State with two adults and two children under the age of four. Needless to say by the time we reached Utah, we were all wiped. The wonderful woman at the front desk was so helpful and kind. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. In the morning there was a nice selection for breakfast. If you are in the Moab area, this is a good place to stop.
Each year my husband and I travel from California to Southwestern Colorado for a late season cow elk hunt in December. Moab is just 90 minutes from Naturita, Colorado where we meet out outfitter to hunt a private ranch in the Dry Creek Basin. Depending on weather and road conditions, we often lay over in Moab to have a comfortable drive into Naturita. My husband pushes for the best bargain in motel rooms as we are seldom there more than 6-8 hours - sleep and a shower. However, he makes one exception for the LaQuinta in Moab. It is in the $89. range vs. the $45-$59 range of the other rooms we take. However the difference in the rooms to me (wife and a bit of a LaDeeDah) is worth it. They are spotless, handsome décor and the beds are like heaven after sleeping in the $45-$59 beds. The difference may not seem like a lot, but if you factor in the cost of the outfitter, the tags, the fuel, the rooms and meals, it is a $4500. trip for a 3 day hunt so we do look at all aspects in an effort to keep the costs in line so we can do more hunting and fishing trips. However, all that being said, I will continue to stay at this LaQuinta whenever our travels take us to Moab and the schedule calls to overnight there!
first time in moab...we didnt quite know what to expect...the hotel staff made it easy for us...told us where to go and things to do...and if you have lunch/dinner at the next door restaurant you get a 10% discount...since its a pet friendly place i have no problem with dogs barking being left alone in their rooms...what i have a gripe with are JACKASSES that dont pick up after their dogs...just because you stayed in a pet friendly hotel it doesnt mean that the poop pick up is also the hotels responsibility...IDIOTS!...this is in no way directed to the staff/management of this hotel as they did an excellent job...keep up the good work...will be staying again, definitely!
We stayed here on our recent trip through UT. We were pleasantly surprised that they are so dog friendly!! A plus for dog lovers. I have to say that the gal and guy at the front desk were extremely helpful in suggesting a place to eat, that night, and she even helped with a suggestion for a different route to take to our destination at Bryce Canyon, for the next day. We had told her what route our AAA rep had planned for us but we were interested in Hwy 12...and so she showed us exactly how to go to reach Hwy 12 and what to look for along the way. It was way out of our way, but SO WORTH it!!! So happy we stayed at this hotel!! If we ever get back to Moab, we would definitely stay here!!
Travelling with family. Very enjoyable stay. VERY pet friendly-This is was a big bonus for us!. Comfortable rooms. Decent breakfast. Easy check-in/out processes. Good rates! We would definitely stay here again.
