We really enjoyed our stay at La Quinta. Helpful service people. Comfortable room. Free breakfast offerings. Pool. Very minor problems include a broken ice machine and a backward faucet on our sink. Weather knocked out much of our cable but probably can't blame them for that. Wish they had a few more vegan offerings at breakfast but if you'll bring your own soy milk you'll be just fine. Front desk is very helpful. Be sure to ask about their partners that provide physical fitness facilities just around the corner. Liquor store within walking distance is you want to buy something that way. 20% discount on dining at Denny's and 10% off at Applebees.

This was my first time staying at a LaQuinta & traveling a very LONG distance with my pet. The staff was incredible: helpful, knowledgeable, courteous & kind. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend staying here. I got a corporate discount so that slants this review. First thing that hit me was that the front desk clerk couldn't speak English very well when we checked in which made it very irritating. It's an older property when compared to other Q's so that hurts the rating too. However it's close to whatever we wanted to do in KC so location was cool. Pet friendly but not a lot of green. Overall, if you can find a newer Q near, take it.

I was worried about this hotel when I made reservations because I had trouble with La Quinta before. Because of price and location I decided to give a try and was very happy with results. Bed was comfortable and room was clean, which is what I was looking for. Nice room for price.

The price got me to this hotel. $63 with tax and all we needed was a place to sleep and shower (out before breakfast this day). Tucked back from the roadway and with the freeway and shopping mall nearby. Walked into the lobby and there was a stale water smell. . . not chlorine, and not too much of a smell. Checked in and went to the room, non-smoking, two double beds. Surprised by how small double beds are (haven't been in one in a while). Worked well, Stale smoke smell in the room. Sink area separate from the bath/toilet area. Plenty of table top area, as that's where I like to put my luggage. Clean beds, Forgot to check the alarm clock and it went off at midnight. Came back late morning after our event to shower/clean up. Checkout is at noon, and they graciously gave us to 12:30 to check out. Stood in shower and could touch my fingertips to the ceiling. I'm on the short side but estimate anyone over 5'7 would probably hit their noggin' on the ceiling. We were awoken several times in the night from the outside doors banging open/shut at Bar closing time (ask for room not by the end doors). GREAT water pressure for shower and bathtub. No liners in trash cans (seemed odd). Just enough towels/washcloths for one per person staying in the room. Overall, nice place and probably would stay here again on an overnight visit. If we needed to hang out in the room for a multi-stay, might not stay at this specific location, though it is convenient to the shopping area and areas just south of the city. Microwave/refrigerator in the room, plenty of pillows on the bed to choose from. Mall/shopping area nearby here, just down the road. Sorry, it was late checking in for us and we didn't take any photos of the rooms
