It is an exceptional hotel for the value. Stayed there for two nights and nothing negative to report. We had two rooms for a business trip and had no complaints. We returned late to the hotel on both nights and had the convenience of having a nice hotel on site. Highly recommended.

Good service; friendly reception & quick; clean; comfy beds; adequate breakfast selections; good hot water & heat and plush towels and amenities (toiletries, coffeemaker, micro & fridge; hairdryer). TV could use more channel options however. But if you're tired enough and only care about clean and comfy sleeping arrangements, then tv options aren't a big deal. Would stay again and recommend. Prices range for double, non smoking for two: under $80 for a weekend night, too.

If you are visiting your student at SUNY Purchase and flying into Westchester Airport, I highly recommend the La Quinta Armonk. We picked up a rental car at the airport for our multi-day stay (get a GPS if you don't have a Smartphone, it was very handy for getting around the county). A very easy and convenient drive to La Quinta from airport and back to SUNY Purchase, but there is also an airport shuttle provided by La Quinta that we've used. The service even before arriving (I called ahead to make some requests about room choice) was outstanding. Very helpful, pleasant and competent front desk personnel early morning to late night. Complimentary breakfast was everything we wanted and more. Breakfast area is conveniently located in lobby where there are also a computer and printer. Nearby are vending machines. So nice to have a visit where the lodging presented no problems at all. Oh, I loved that animated night beach scene with wave sounds that is the screen saver on the flat screen TV also. Very relaxing day and night. LOL
You get what you pay for. I was one of the lucky ones who got a clean room the first time around. That's about as good as it gets. No elevator (which isn't really a huge deal unless you have a lot of bags; only two stories).
Mediocre rooms. Size is ok. Everything in the rooms, though, is low quality junk. 20 year old wall sconces and lamps. Small, flat screen tv. Chest of drawers (used loosely) and small cabinet that mini fridge and microwave are housed in are obviously old and showing it (peeling). Bathroom fixtures are old and gross. Bath towels are more like hand towels, thin and small. Dirty grout. Headboard seems to be made of vinyl house siding and mattress isn't very comfortable.
Hallways and stairwells have crumbs everywhere. Leaves and sticks inside doors. Air vent grates look to have been kicked in, numerous times, years ago. No coffee after breakfast.
I checked in at 11pm and when I went into my room, I realized that the room had not been cleaned. There was hair in the sink and bathtub and one of the beds was unmade and the garbage was still there. The manager was very nice and personally took me back to a different room to make sure that it was clean. For the price, the hotel is fine but you get what you pay for.
