Between the proximity to I-80 and walls that provided no impediment to sound transmission, the noise level in our room made it sleep a tenuous prospect. We could hear both the adjacent TV and the guests talking nearly as clearly as if they were in the same room.
The condition of the room wasn't as bad as the disrepair of the hallways would lead you to expect. I'm not sure if that counts as a positive.
The room was about average for a hotel at this price range, which unfortunately was the only property available in the area at any price. Unless you need background noise for a restful night sleep, I'd suggest skipping this place and finding somewhere a but more quiet.
This hotel is not up to the standards of other La Quinta's, and I've stayed at the chain many times. The room was adequate, but the entry, hallways, and common areas are very old. Carpets are stained, ugly, loose and wrinkly, long past due for replacement. The entire place has a mildly foul odor, although mercifully the room itself was not too bad.
This was my 2nd stay at a La Quinta Inn hotel in the past 2 weekends. The room looked pretty decent. It was clean. Bathroom was clean. There was both a fridge & microwave in the room. Location was good and close to the highway. Air conditioner was not working...called front desk and they sent someone right away! The only problem...and unfortunately it's a pretty important one is that the walls are truly paper thin! You can hear EVERYTHING in the rooms on either side of you! And I'm not talking about yelling (but that is 10 times worse)...I'm talking, normal conversation! I could hear every word of the conversations in the rooms on either side of me. And unfortunately one room had a bunch of little kids and they may not have excessively loud, however because of how thin the walls were, it certainly sounded like it. Made sleeping a bit difficult until the people in the other rooms finally went to sleep too.
I have stayed at other LaQuinta Inns and have better experiences thats why I Chose to stay here. I regret my decision. I stayed there only for one night as I was moving out from NJ and needed as place to crash before the move.
Pros:
1. Breakfast was good
2. Parking is plentiful
Cons:
1. Booked a non smoking room .. they gave us a smoking room
2. My room was all the way back of the hotel near I 80.
3. Beds are awful, I couldn't sleep all night
4. Bathroom fixtures were broken.
5. Next morning, the hallway were smelling with sewer.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Buffet was small but nice little additive (my son and his friends waited on the lines for the waffle but I dined out for breakfast every day). i've been to much better breskfast continental style...but also paid more. Pool and jacuzzi clean. heard everything going on in next room. Lots of restaurants nearby. Great value for money
