When I come to Birmingham or to Clanton, AL for agility trials or for flyball tournaments, I always stay at this LQ. There's lots of nice grass for walking the dogs, the rooms are a good size, there is a refrigerator and the beds are comfy. I also like that there is a Dairy Queen right in front, and a Ruby Tuesdays across the street. In addition, the best priced gas in town is right next door.

We came to Prattville for our granddaughters graduation and stayed at this location. Easy highway access, good location. Staff was polite, friendly, attentive to our concern. One of the nights we were concerned with guest in room across the hall yelling quite loudly. Manager addressed it immediately and followed up with a phone call to us. That was very much appreciated because we were really tired and not looking forward to the possibility of yelling through the night. Problem solved! The bed mattress could have been more comfortable like the one at the Memphis location but otherwise everything else was great. Would I stay at this hotel again...sure no problem.

We stay at many La Quinta Inn & Suites. Stayed here for one night with two dogs. After the Drury Inn Mobile, this was such a disappointment. The front desk clerk wore no identifiable uniform and was out front smoking when we walked in. We had no idea she was an employee. This was frequently the case with the front desk staff. No welcoming smiles or feeling that they were glad we were there. Same for others checking in/out before us. The early morning front desk clerk was not friendly and was actually sarcastic about ringing the bell at the front entrance as it was "after hours" and you cannot swipe your room card at the front entrance. Upon check-out had to interrupt front desk clerk smoking outside to check-out. We requested a top floor, quiet end room and that is what we got. The room was clean enough and lobby areas clean. If you want a good test for cleanliness, watch a dog when it enters a room. Our dogs went straight to out of the way places on the carpet to smell spots. You never know: urine, vomit, food stains..etc. you never know. The bed was pretty bad. The mattress rolled to the middle and was a bit wobbly. Some nitwit left their small dogs alone in their room around 8:30 a.m. and for at least 30 minutes the dogs barked nonstop. LaQuinta Inn policy is not to leave pets in the room alone. LaQuinta provides the pet relief stations of bags/trash cans. Thank you! Not everyone was picking up after their dog though. :-( People like that give the rest of us a bad rep. The area was safe. Very close to the interstate, but quiet. Fuel and food close. If we could give a half star we would rate this 3.5. Overall we would stay here again if we had to but this La Quinta staff could learn a thing or two about professionalism and friendliness from the Drury Inn Mobile.

clean and nice place to stay--always had great service at this hotel rooms always clean had a problem with the refrigerator and was not working. Made a call down to front desk and they came right up and replace it.

I loved everything about this hotel; especially the pet area. It had a clean, grassy area, well kept with a supply of doggy doo bags. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, well organized breakfast area with a variety of choices.
