Great for the during the week price, weekend much higher. Room was great staff was helpful and very nice would stay again and bed was great!!! places to eat nearby. breakfast was good and not just donuts lots to pick from.

We liked the location of La Quinta because it was right on the beach. It is located on the north end of the island close to the public beaches which we visited as well. Our room overlooked the gulf and the pool and was very spacious and comfortable. The free breakfast was nice, including hot items like eggs and waffles or you can get yogurt and fruit if you want to eat light. They do accept pets so if you don't want to see any dogs at your hotel this is not the place for you. They have a nice little bar and patio area outside. Overall, very nice place to stay at a reasonable price.

My husband and I stayed here for a quick getaway Weds-Sat. The pros are the close access to the beach, and a clean room. The cons were non-stop construction next door of a huge bar/stage, and the constant rap music from 10-midnight from the existing bar. That was on Weds. Thurs and Friday, along with the construction, there was a live band that played till midnight, with a base that thumped the room. We had a second floor, gulf facing room, which was great early in the morning for coffee and wave watching. As the day rolled on, I counted 31 kids in the pool at one point. This place would be great for a family vacation, or if you don't mind constant noise. For a couple's trip, we will look elsewhere. I don't think we will stay here again.

Great for beach access but remember the adage, "you get what you pay for", when staying here. Beach front room with a balcony was actually a beach front room with a ledge. Though there were 2 pvc chairs on the "balcony", you could barely squeeze into them and your knees where in the railings. We did have a great beach view but we were thankful they weren't cooking in the bar/grill below because the smoke stack was right below in front of our "balcony". If you call the front desk, be sure to be patient. It will ring FOREVER before they pick up. The sheets, though clean, were as rough as sandpaper! If you want to have them changed, be sure to take them off of the bed! The "breakfast cop" was on duty when I went to pick up my breakfast and bring it to my room to enjoy.....he pointed to the "hand written" sign on the back of the entrance door to let me know that nothing was supposed to be taken out of the breakfast area! Not sure the reason so I can only assume......I have never encountered this at any other La Quinta! Bottom line, I would only recommend staying here if you had kids, were on a family vacation and these particular things didn't bother you....

My friend and I stayed here while on vacation and had a very pleasant stay. I had brought my dog and she was able to stay for no extra cost. I would not book this hotel for a romantic get away, but it would make for a fantastic family vacation spot at a reasonable price. We went at the beginning of May and were able to get a room for $63 a night with a AAA discount. I would not recommend getting a gulf front room as it would most likely be quite noisy from the pool below and the bar next door. We stayed on the side facing the HIlton and heard very little outside noise. The hotel staff were friendly and there was great beach access. There is also a snack bar by the pool which serves regular and adult beverages.
