The location itself has no indoor hallways, there was no security guard visible, one ice machine was down (and looked down for quite a while), the garbage bin is located 10 feet from our room, which resulted in a 6 am wake up call of metal on metal pounding, and several of the guests were definitely gangster/drug dealers. We had two pillows total for our two beds, which was not fixed until I managed to ask a nearby cleaning lady for some; the attendant downstairs did not complete the first request for pillows. After staying at La Quintas in Phx area, as well as the airport location in Tucson, I found this stay completely unacceptable for the price. The entire location needs to be remodeled, as well as security amped up. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were clean, and the hot water and showering facilities were up to par. Both chairs in the room had visible stains on the cushions, the security lock was ripped off, and the overall feel of the place was extremely unsafe. Either go to the airport location of La Quinta, decide on a different hotel chain, or deal with a truly unsafe/dirty/overpaid experience. NEVER AGAIN AT THIS LOCATION DEAR LORD. One plus side; a whole lot of restaurants and entertainment was within blocks of this location...a great way to experience Tucson but a horrible atmosphere to experience it in.

I have been staying at this LaQuinta for about 6 years. It has gone from an "ok" place to stay to a very nice, clean, friendly place to stay. I enjoy staying here also because I travel with my 2 large dogs and LaQuinta allows them to stay with me at no extra charge. They even have a special place set aside your pets to use the bathroom. The maids are very friendly and are doing a great job.

Enjoyed it tremendously. Centrally located on the East Side of Tucson. Staff was knowledgable and helpful. Close to Park Mall and a really cool litte breakfast/lunch "joint" called Brawleys across the steet. Like the 1950"s! Nothing ultra fancy but it's just what you'll feel comfortable with financially. Great value! Highly recommend it!

Great value. The room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was a bit worn, but clean. The courtyard which has large trees for shade (a plus for this desert city) is great for morning coffee and afternoon relaxation. Pool area is nice and well maintained. Heads up, - the Brightside Breakfast SERVES INSTANT NESCAFE COFFEE FROM A MACHINE!. Housekeeping did a great job. Check in and out speedy by a very friendly staff. We love this location becuase it is very close to the Drs my husband need to see. Great variety of resturants; chain and local nearby. The small area near the dumpsters which seems to be the area where most people take their pets to do their business is cleaned up by the staff every day (at least while we were there), though we took our dogs further away in a small wild grass/weed lot.

This is definitely an older hotel. For the price we paid, everything was decent: food, rooms, pool. Staff was very friendly. There is a Denny's located next door for convenience. Really have no complaints.
