I love staying with la quinta, but from all the motels I have stayed @.. The Santa Fe site has so been my least favorite.. The 1st night stay the room 125 I housed me and my family in stunk of animal urine.. Kindly asked for a room replacement which was accommodated on the dime. But was moved to a room that the air conditioner didn't work and room didn't have a fridge or microwave. Which I asked that someone could bring me one to hold Popsicles for my son which was only able to eat because he had a tonsil removal surgery and that was the reason for us staying at the Santa Fe site.. Just commenting that Santa Fe site is in need of some upgrading.. But all n all I truly enjoy my stays @ la quinta and this one time does not effect my decision on continuing my stays.
Located on a major street leading into the center of Santa Fe, this motel is also located within walking distance of a large shopping mall. The room was large and well appointed. We had a problem with internet access which was handled promptly and to our complete satisfaction. On a negative note, this is the first La Quinta we have stayed in that did not provide a free newspaper.
Room was decent, beds were doubles. The bath wasn't the best, tub felt like it could fall thru, shower head was like that of a fire hose. Overall its does the job, the room was clean, beds weren't horrible. Breakfast is basic, nothing to write home about...standard continental.
Overnight stay is acceptable, but thats about it.
There really was not much to complain about here, but at the same time it does not rise to the level of a great experience. You will find a room that is nice enough, clean, and decently priced. They also accept pets with no additional charge - one reason I often stay with La Quinta.
Stayed for 2 nights, the room is ok space wise with a big vanity area outside the bathroom. it was probably an old motel with door and common walk way facing outside, quite different from several other La Quinta which we have stayed elsewhere. The area seems reasonably safe though so didn't have any security issue, but would prefer alternatives if not for the price at $60 a night. Breakfast is simple but good enough.
