Check in and out was quick and easy. Rooms were clean and roomy. Breakfast was great! If you are needing a room close to Kings Dominion or just stopping to rest for the night, it is a great value. La Quinta always lives up to my expectations!!

We loved the Hotel. It was very clean and the staff was amazing. We would stay here again. The breakfast was very good. The children enjoyed making waffles. The beds were very comfortable and thank you for the Business Room with printers. We were able to visit Maymont because of this.

"What a gem!"

We left Kings Dominion at 10:00pm with two tired kids. Headed straight out of the park, across the traffic lights and straight into the La Quinta parking lot (there is also a Burger King on the same street that is open after the theme park closes). I was greeted warmly by the two gentlemen working reception, and they had me registered in under a minute. I haven't experienced such efficiency in 5 star hotels. We had a double queen which was plenty of room for our family. The bathroom was a nice size, with a long vanity (great!) and the shower pressure was awesome. Beds were comfy. Only downside were too-soft pillows and the duvets or comforters were stained but everything else was clean and tidy. Hotel was pretty quiet considering there must have been a bunch of families staying there. I was awake a lot during the night (not La Quintas fault) and heard a train in the distance but it wouldn't have been loud enough to wake even a light sleeper like me. Breakfast was great. Eggs, sausage patties, waffles, bagels, cereal, toast, muffins, danish. Staff refilled and were in evidence the whole time if you needed anything. Check-out was as easy as check-in. Will definitely stay here again if we visit the park. Thank you La Quinta.

"ATTENTION TO DETAILS"

My wife and I stayed there over the Memorial Day weekend and were disappointed with the lack of details missed by housekeeping. Half empty bottles of soda were left in the fridge and a dirty sock was found in the sheets when we were getting ready for bed. Luckily we had a second bed (clean) in the room. It was obvious that housekeeping did not change the sheets and just remade the bed when the last guest checked out. Getting to our room was like running an obstacle course, housekeeping made no effort to make room in the hallway for their guest. Laundry cart, piles of linen and garbage bags blocked our path to the room. I understand that they have a tough job trying to get multiple rooms cleaned but at least make the effort to leave room to walk and not have to step over bags and laundry with luggage. On the positive side of things, the front desk clerks were apologetic about the dirty bed and did take 10% off the bill. The lobby and common areas were clean and inviting.

Stayed here in the "shoulder season" (Mid-April) for 5 nights. Selected this location for its safe location and reasonable rates. Overall hotel was nice, breakfast was good and room was comfortable. If you come here on a weekend or during the amusement park "season" you can expect hundreds of kids in the breakfast room in the morning. Hotel is pet friendly, another reason for staying here. Hotel housekeeping needs to pay closer attention to pet smells, mishaps, etc. We pointed out stains on bed skirts and drapes to management so they knew it was not from our dog. Pool was being worked on while we were there so it was unavailable for our use. Outside areas could use some closer maintenance as well. I would stay there again if in the area as it is better than most of the similar costing competition.
