"Poor customer service, poor value, dismal QC. No roll away beds, no room in rooms."
Reviewed Aug 29, 2014
Am handicapped, back door broken, me wife two kids. Had a two queen room, one kid to sleep on air mattress, no room for luggage, or kid. They changed room to suite. Oh my lost a bed. Air conditioning issues not working. They could not fix, called in maintance. I had to stay while wife kids went to dinner found that remote control for TV not working, called desk advised front desk, rather than give new battery, front desk staff came to room and suggested we leave. I reminded them I was handicapped and was not going to move to a different hotel.
Clerk could have brought batteries instead of snarky attitude. They were advised at check in that we needed bedding for air mattress, they did not bring that up, wife had to hunt it down.
All in all crappy place to stay, I advised them that I would cease to stay at any other units in chain do your self a favor stay elsewhere.
We've just returned from a 10 day road trip that took us from Vancouver Canada through Seattle to Minnesota and back up to Quebec. We stayed in A LOT of hotels and motels, most of which we haven't bothered to review. But we made a note to review this one when we returned, all because of the extraordinary service we received.
We were exhausted from a long 8 hour drive when we arrived at this hotel with 2 kids in tow (7 year olds). Upon our arrival, there were issues in finding us a room with 2 beds but Chris at front desk went out of his way to accommodate us and this with a very positive attitude. He never made us feel like we were a burden and he offered the kids cookies as we waited for him to take care of us and even offered to make more.
What Chris didn't know is that I happen to teach workshops in customer service. Chris stood out as an example of what we try to achieve with young adults in the service industry.
If La Quinta Inn makes it a policy to hire people like Chris, I strongly recommend sourcing this chain as a place to stay. This guy understands what it means to ensure repeat business.
I have stayed in LaQuinta's all over the country. This is one of my top 5 favorites! Great staff, very clean, amazing beds, really good breakfast. Very easy to get to and quiet. As I travel this route at least twice a year I will be staying here again!
Everything about this hotel was fabulous. The Reception Staff-Excellent...The Room-Excellent....The Food Better Then Most. I would highly recommend staying at this location. For location and the quality of the hotel the price was excellent. They make it so you feel as if you were home. The beds are very comfortable. And, if you have never visited Butte MT it is a must. Full of rich mining history and friendly people!
I stayed a single evening here on my way to Washington state and was reasonably satisfied with the value provided.
- the location is good, right next to a little park with sports diamonds and bleachers (might be noisy when in use, but it is a good distance away.) Some freeway noise, but it is across the park and cannot be heard if the A/C is running.
- the facility is clean and well-maintained and rooms are fairly new, not shop-worn at all and modern.
- refer and microwave, nice TV, single-cup coffee maker.
- close to town and bike trails, if you have your bike with you.
- nice armchair, although it is difficult to watch the TV from it. The room is clearly designed for watching TV in bed.
- staff was nice and attentive. La Quinta is pet-friendly and the clerk suggested a room on the top floor (the 4th) to avoid doggy noise. The room was very quiet and relaxing.
- Rooms are tiny. My room had a king-sized bed that took up most of the room. With the desk chair pushed under the desk there is little room to get by to the window and armchair. Sitting at the desk, the back of the chair is up against the bed.
- The bathroom is tiny, no wider than the length of the tub/shower and the sink looks like something you would find in an RV.
- Despite the small size the room does not seem claustrophobic, but I have lived in an RV, so all is relative.
- Ice machine on the second floor was broken, so getting ice involved a trip to the ground floor to find a working ice machine.
