Too much crud in bathrooms and around bathtub. Great staff, weekend rate was a little steep. Great location to sightsee in the area. Not many restaurants nearby. Great access to I-81 both north and south. Plenty of gas stations on the exits.

"Nice place, friendly staff"

Staff were exceptionally friendly, room was very clean, and price was decent. Free breakfast looked OK, but ate at restaurant next door, which was very nice and reasonable. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

"Nice hotel but..."

Fan in bathroom was constantly on and the only relief from the sound was closing the door. No variety with breakfast from fruit, cereal, and waffles and I didn't even eat any of it. Couldn't use ATM after I saw that it was unplugged and employees couldn't help because the guy who installed it hadn't been in to maintain it in months.

"Wasn't impressed with this one...."

Stayed here over 4 nights with my family on a trip to Hershey and the local area. Check in was easy and we were in our room within minutes. Standard room, 2 queen beds, mini refrigerator and microwave. A bit of a disappointment as it was advertised that the room would hold 5, so we were expecting there to be a pull out sofa, but there wasn't, so this made the sleeping arrangement of our 3 children a bit difficult. We asked about a roll away bed but we were told there were none available. There is little to no storage within the furniture (two small drawers under the TV) and a small closet. For a family of 5 this was a disadvantage, but we made due by keeping most things in our suitcases. We did inquire if there were any larger rooms but we were told that a larger room would only be available for one night and then we would have to move, so we opted to stay in the room we had. The room appeared to be clean however as we continued our stay, flaws were seen. After the first night my son noticed there was blood stains on the sheets. When we left the room that morning we left the card to please change the sheets, and this was done. The last night we were there I dropped something in the bathroom. When I went to retrieve it (under the bathroom sink/vanity) I noticed there were several old towels and dirt under, like his had not been cleaned or inspected in some time. I know the towels were not ours as we put our used towels in the tub when we were done with them. So that discovery was sort of gross. I did just leave them there as I didn't want to be touching someone else's dirty towels, and I knew we would be leaving in the morning. The carpets in the room are dark and look clean, but when you really look at them they are awfully stained. Not that our socks were discolored by walking on them, but they could use either a really good cleaning or a replacement. The plumbing in the room was very loud. The walls were also quite thin, as we could hear not only next to us but above us and in the hallway. The one elevator in the hotel was very loud and almost sounded broken when lifting. The carpets in the hallways and in the stairwells were very dirty and really need to be addressed (especially in the stairwells as we used this to come and go from the hotel). Our entire stay, there were the same lollypop sticks in the stairwell, never vacuumed in the 4 days we were there. We booked this hotel because breakfast was included, and this is a cost savings for our family. I wasn't impressed at all with the selection, the service or the breakfast area. Two women worked the breakfast room on the days we were there, and although they did try to maintain the supply, you could see they were struggling to keep up with the demand. That also left the tables to be neglected and dirty(didn't help that many of the guests were just sloppy and didn't clean up after themselves). The chairs in the breakfast area are gross, and so stained. They would do themselves a service to get rid of the cloth chairs and replace them with wood or something that would be a lot easier to wipe down and keep clean. The breakfast itself consisted of cereal, bread, oatmeal, muffins, make your own waffles, some fruit, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. There was also coffee/tea/hot chocolate and juice. Never anything different..the same stuff every single day. My family has stayed at many similar range hotels and the breakfast always consisted of some sort of hot selection as well as a breakfast meat. It was too bad that this hotel didn't offer a similar selection. Needless to say although convenient, if you are here more then 2 days breakfast will get very boring and you'll want to opt elsewhere I'm sure. The second night we were able to get a roll away bed however I was really disappointed that they charged us $10 a night for the use of it. Like I said above the room was advertised as ample for 2 adults and 3 children, but with no pull out sofa the 3 children were expected to sleep in the one queen bed. This was not comfortable or condusive for them, which is why we had to opt for the roll away. After spending $180 a night on a room I was upset that we had to then spend another $10 a night to accomodate our family. WI-FI is offered in the hotel, but it was spotty. I would be using it and would have to re-log on several times which was annoying. My children used the hotel pool and spa which was small, and the room was awfully humid. It would be nice if there was better ventillation in there. Huge windows but they were all locked so they could not be opened. The pool towels provided are so small, even for children. There is not much near the hotel as far as dining options or stores. Although if you drive 15 or 20 minutes you can find several chain restuarants and shops. It is also a quick drive down the road to Hershey so that was beneficial. If we return to the area, I would be unlikely to stay here again.

"Worst La Quinta Ever!!!!!!!!!!"

Dirty Room, dusty, broken computer chair grounds unkempt staff unfriendly unapproachable Eating area small, was still not cleaned up from breakfast when we returned from a day out. One elevator, unbelievable!!!! Located in a really narrow hallway -- hard to maneuver luggage dollies. Coffee/Hot water not kept up with. Large wasted space in the reception area. We have stayed in many La Quintas and its hard to believe that this one was part of the chain. Very disappointing but I guess they know they will get the bookings because of Hershey.
