The hotel was in excellent condition and very clean - newly remodeled. There was an odd odor in the hallway of the second floor. I believe it was cooking odors, because it was very strong the next morning.
The room was comfortable.and the bathroom was very clean. The in-room refrigerator and microwave are convenient for a keeping drinks cool or heating snacks.
We did not eat breakfast, so I can't remark on that, although I know it was available.
We were close to Hershey, PA, which was the purpose of our stop in the area.
Front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Had one unfortunate incident with housekeeping when we arrived but the front desk people were quick to rectify the issue,and make it a non issue. Great location! I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.
We stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites Harrisburg during our annual motorcycle trip from Florida to Mass. Overall this hotel is dirty. The exterior and the public areas of the hotels just have a sort of grimy dirty feel to them. The room itself was decent and well appointed. There were some nasty stains on the ceiling but otherwise the room was clean with a comfortable bed and large LCD TV. The TV channel selection was very limited though. The bathroom was old but clean. Breakfast was ok with the usual selection.
We stayed at the La Quinta on our way to visit family in the Northeast. We were traveling with our dog and child. Sometimes traveling with pets is hard because you never know if the hotel is going to stick you with a "smelly" room. I can assure you that this La Quinta does not. You couldn't even tell this was a pet room it smelled so good. We will definitely be staying there again! Our dog enjoyed it too, especially the dog treat she got when checking in. Thanks La Quinta!
New and very clean. There were many children in the breakfast room and lobby going to Hershey Park but we never heard a sound once we closed the door to our room. Outstanding customer service too! Good flat screen tv with many channels to choose from. All said, an excellent hotel for the price.
