The hotel was clean & comfortable. Phones in the room did not operate but other electrical driven devices were fine (TV, hair dryer, coffee maker). The TV was excellent. Accessibility to a variety of restaurants was limited for a visitor unfamiliar with the area. Parking areas large and well lit.

From day 1 (Sunday 5/12/13), arriving to Harrisburg, PA I knew the next few days would be disappointing because my car engine went within 3 hours of arriving, not to mention the beginning of Mother's Day was awful as well. However, upon entering the LaQuinta, I was greeted warmly by the young lady behind the counter. She was very empathetic with my troubles, and re-assured me that she would do her best to meet any needs me & friends had. The hotel is new (only 1 yr old) and has a very modern look, which I appreciated. Although housekeeping is not always readily available, our room was immaculate and the front desk made up for the scarce housekeeping. The next hostess on staff was just as pleasant as the first, recommending tourist attractions and a wonderful local cabbie (being that my car was kaput!). Should you ever need a cab during your stay, call KIRK-he is the best & the cheapest! While waiting for a (very welcomed) ride back home, the hostess allowed us to wait & watch tv in the lobby and readily chatted with us making us feel at home. I must say by the end of our stay, all was well again with the world. The dark cloud (broken down car) had been broken through by a ray of sunshine I'll call the LaQuinta staff & the tourist attractions they recommended. Although this hotel is a bit out of the way, the hotel and staff were just wonderful and the next time I'm in the area, they will be the first I make my reservations with. Very, very nice hotel. Staff were excellent. All was fantastic for a 2 day stay. We had to change from a one day stay due to mechanical problems and the hotel was very easy to deal with. Great place to stay for a longer stay.

Fairly new hotel (just over a year according to staff), with a very modern feel and look. Reasonably close to Hershey Park and Giant Center. Just take 39 for 10 minutes (maybe shorter) and you're there. Very easy on-off from I81. Rooms are nicely sized and beds are comfortable. My only complaint with the room was my location... just outside the elevator. Wasn't bad until about 7am when people start moving about. The constant ding from the elevator is loud and annoying. The hotels offers a free breakfast which is ok. Make your own waffles, cereal, fruit, coffee, etc. There are no microwavable breakfast sandwiches which is a bummer. Thought it was a good hotel for the price.

This hotel is fairly new, which is a big plus. However, lots of minor issues. The room was fine, however, the air conditioning unit was very loud and it was not possible to maintain a constant temperature - too cold or too hot. Breakfast - quite a stretch to even call it that. Very, very limited choices. Actually more of a "continental breakfast". Wish I had gone to the restaurant right next door for some real food. Also, the coffee was cold, there was no creamer for the two days I was there. The staff kept saying they ran out. I felt like driving to a grocery store to buy a container of half and half. As I said, the price was right, but would not stay here again. Another point, the indoor pool was really dirty! The restaurant right next door to the hotel was really a great place. Comfort food, very reasonable prices.
