Stayed here one night on a business trip. Check in was easy and the clerk was very pleasant. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable and very sleepable. Vending machines were spendy -- as they always are anywhere. However, just up the street, there are many different restaurants to choose from. You should be able to find something to eat at a price which keeps you happy. There is major construction on the roads in this area--so there is construction dust and debris around.
Do keep in mind the hotel room doors do open to the outside--so if you are security minded, this may be a problem for you. Locks are sturdy and I felt safe.
Breakfast was typical hotel lobby self-serve. The area was clean.
Facility needs better sound insulation. I was awakened at about 2:15 am by a conversation between a person next door and someone (on a cell phone). I could hear both sides of the conversation (even person on other side of cell phone). This conversation-in normal voice level, continued for about 15 minutes. Then, several more people arrived in the room and the group visited (in normal conversational tones) for another couple of hours. Again, I could hear the conversations very clearly. I called the desk at about 4:15 am. I could hear the person in the adjoining room answer the phone when the desk called him. The person answering the room was polite when talking to the desk operator. Within a few minutes, the conversations abated. I did resume my sleep after a whille, but lost about two hours.
My family and I stayed at La Quinta during a drive across country. We wanted a clean room with beds that were sleepable, and we got what we wanted. The only reason I'm not providing a 5 rating is the extreme smallness of the bathroom. It would've been better if the little 'dressing room' was merged with the bathroom to provide one big room, rather than have the toilet compressed near a wall. That is my singular complaint. The rest was exactly what we needed.
We stayed here for two nights and thought the hotel was very clean and nice. I checked in at the front desk and the clerk checking in was very kind and nice, she told me how to get to the room and when breakfast was. There are four separate buildings, and some adjoin and some don't, there are elevators and lots of stairs. The room was big enough with a king bed, recliner, desk and two other chairs. There was a small closet and the bathroom was big with a separate sink area from the shower. We both thought the room was very clean and nice, also didn't notice any trash or shady people hanging out around the hotel either. Though when we stayed there the hotel was half empty, there were people on the bottom floor with dogs, but we never heard them. It is in an "industrial" part of the city, and we faced the highway but didn't hear any noise from it at all. There were lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was nice and hot with excellent water pressure and the water wasn't super soft either. We thought it was a really nice hotel, but we didn't have much interaction with the staff at all, and the pool was closed and skipped the continental breakfast. Both of us would definitely stay here again, it was very reasonably priced and didn't hear any noise from neighbors either. The only drawback I guess would be there weren't a whole lot of tv channels, they did have two showtime channels; but who goes to a hotel to watch tv?

First of all, let me say that this hotel is located in-between two heavily traveled freeways. Right in the middle. The pix don't show that of course. The exterior of the hotel is grimy, trash strewn and looks like a project in the ghetto. You will be sharing this hotel with lots of dogs as they are "animal friendly". Also, the average guest will be mullets, large women in spandex and mostly smokers. You will also need to dodge children running around filthy and barefoot. The front desk was OK. Breakfast area looked clean, mostly. Ice, vending etc was practically non-existent - no close convenience stores either (you are in an industrial park after all. The pool, forget it, looks to be out of commission with a tarp over it. If it was open, I wouldn't venture through the grime and broken glass to use it. Overall, very disappointed in this property. If you are broke and not too proud, check in and grin and bear it. You probably won't die.
