A La Quinta traveler |
We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way back from a cross-country trip. The location was excellent (right off I-70), and it was a comfortable situation for us and our two big dogs (Newfoundland and Bernese Mountain Dog).
This was our third stay at a La Quinta Inn, and it's now our preferred hotel when traveling, with or without dogs. So far, the quality of the rooms, food, and service has been very consistent, and as "dog people," we certainly appreciate the hotel's (and the other guests') willingness to accept our dogs.
This hotel is very welcoming. When we checked in we asked for a good place to eat and was told of a good steakhouse that did not disappoint. The hotel was clean and quiet and best of all pet friendly.
You never know what you get with a 'pet friendly' hotel, but this one was fabulous! The hotel lobby and rooms were fresh and clean, the staff was friendly and there was ample grass space around to walk the pooch. In addition, the clerk did a wonderful job of informing us about La Quinta (this was our first stay) and letting us know that almost all La Quinta's are 'pet friendly'. Now, we will always seek out a La Quinta when we are traveling with our pets.
I was returning to Atlanta from a long trip to Washington and was very pleased with the accommodations. Room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding. When I am in the area again I will definitely stop there.
The hotel is convenient to the highway, other eating establishments and a straight shot to downtown and other shopping areas in Salina. It is a short distance from the famous Brookville Hotel Resturante (known for home fried chicken dinners served family -style).
