A La Quinta traveler |
This hotel was sooooo clean and the staff were so friendly we definitely will return. Looking for a great hotel to stay on the beach this is it. Beds were extremely comfortable. All amenities you need. I enjoy staying in a clean environment and this LaQuinta was it. Breakfast was pretty good waffles, bagels, boiled eggs, toast, fruits etc. I was also able to check in early which was great!
The "bright side" hot breakfast is pretty dark. When they run out of scrambled eggs or just don't bother cooking any, you can have cold hard-boiled eggs. This happened 3 of the 5 days we spent there. Also they ran out of half&half for several days. The ocean-view rooms were so small there was only room for 2 straight-backed chairs. The A/C was extremely noisy and some nights the establishment next door had outdoor entertainment that was loud inside our room. Bottom line--not worth the high price I paid to be on the ocean.
We spent four nights here, choosing this hotel based on three factors: no pet fees, good trip advisor reviews, and oceanfront location. We were satisfied with the property, although the fitness room was the worst we've ever seen (non-functioning air conditioner and substandard equipment: one mediocre exercise bike, one set of free weights). Oceanfront location right by the pier was great!
We just stayed here for 3 nights. Our room on the Cocoa Beach Pier side of the hotel had a great view down the beach to the south and was less expensive than rooms that face the ocean directly. The balcony was great, the room was comfortable for us and 2 grandchildren. The refrigerator is good sized with a separate freezer. The staff were very friendly. There are some comments from other reviewers about the noise from the pier. On Sat there was a loud band that played until just after 11. The kids weren't bothered; but if you're a light sleeper or go to bed early, you might not like it. We definitely would not let that stop us from staying there again. We were on the 6th floor, which was good; because there was no one walking around above us. The walls seemed rather thin. On the upper floor, though, the Internet signal was weak enough that my iPad kept trying to connect to another network. It was annoying to have to tell it to join La Quinta and then log in again. Each day we were given 3 bath towels even though there were 4 of us. The beach and pool are great, and the kids loved them both. Breakfast was fine - all we wanted for sure.
My husband & I booked our trip on Thurs. for Sat-Sun. I requested early ck in as we would be traveling with our pet. (no pet fees) I contacted reservations Sat. 8:30am to confirm & was informed by Christopher our room was already available! What a great surprise. Our room was ground level right by the entrance to the dog run which was convenient. The hotel is located next to the pier which has bars/restaurants. Our room was clean, the hotel was quiet (couldn't hear your neighbors), free breakfast was good. Bagels, toast, waffles, cereal, sausage, eggs, coffee, tea, juices, yogurt. We would def stay here again.
