Staff was awesome. First morning it rained and the lights were dim. The breakfast was good until they couldn't cook anymore. Still was good. Not there fault. The beds were a little too hard for our comfort but the place was clean and the staff seemed to care allot.
My husband had doubts due to the (south Dallas area) location of this hotel. He admitted he was WRONG and said I did good-high praise from him! This motel was near both locations we needed to visit and it was easy to get on and off the interstate. It is in a decent area, I felt safe inside the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant. We will stay here again.
My family and I were very impressed with the excellent staff and room service. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable and the price couldn't be beat. I would recommend this La Quinta location to family and friends.
I stayed at the hotel because of the good reviews that I had seen, and my first impression was of a nice, up-to-date hotel. However, I later found a mouse in my room and learned that they know there's a mouse problem on the first floor by the front desk and in the kitchen.
I was awakened by a rustling sound coming from the trash can at the foot of my bed. When I got up and tapped the trash can with my foot, it rustled again and I could see a mouse's tail moving in the bottom. I was able to trap the mouse by dropping the trashcan from the bathroom inside the bedroom trashcan, and I took it down to the front desk to explain the problem.
I was horrified when the front desk clerk removed the liner from the trash can on top of the front desk, allowing the mouse to run free. He was scared of the mouse and jumped back, watching it run across the counter, out into the hallway, and back in the direction of my room. I wanted to at least make an attept to catch it again or shoo it outside, but that was the end of his involvement.
Worst of all, this was when he told me that they know they have mice on the first floor and in the kitchen. He seemed disappointed that the mice had spread to the second floor where my room was located, but not overly concerned.
The manager offered me a 50% refund in the morning when I complained, which indicated to me that the hotel doesn't consider this a serious problem. When I persisted, he begrudgingly agreed to a 100% refund. Given his reluctance to provide a refund after a horrible experience at his hotel, I doubt that they will be willing to spend the money necessary to fix this problem quickly.
This is really nice hotel for the price. Stayed in the King Suite which has a pull out Queen Sofa Bed. The only thing was missing was a comforter or blanket for the Sofa Bed. But great value and I will be staying again.
