We had a free upgrade and that made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was lovely and the spaciousness was greatly appreciated. All was as we have come to expect from La Quinta....the best chain, in our opinion, for those traveling with pets. Two little notes of "complaint"....... 1. The breakfast area was so totally packed with young baseball players, the food not kept filled, nowhere to sit and no "breakfast attendant" in sight. We did manage to find something to eat and took it to our room to eat it. 2. On Monday (which was our last full day in Baton Rouge) we had hoped to sightsee all day with part of it being without our doggie, Cupcake. We are always careful to remove the "do not disturb" sign when we leave with her. We did that, took her along and were gone FOUR hours.....only to return at past 2 p.m. to be told that nobody cleaned the room because we had our "do not disturb" sign displayed....a total fabrication on the part of the housekeeping staff. We had to leave again....taking Cupcake along....gone another hour+....only to come back to a room that had the bed made and fresh towels, but, no other servicing done....carpet left badly in need of vacuuming and other things just not done up to LQ standards. These two things keep me from giving an "excellent" rating this time.

This hotel is located on the eastern edge of Baton Rouge in a low-traffic area. At the time of my stay, I found it to be immaculately maintained, professionally staffed, and quiet at night. Additionally, there is a $15-20/meal place 3 miles away that serves some pretty good Cajun food. I highly recommend it!

Our stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites Baton Rouge-Denham Springs On O'Neal Lane was wonderful. We couldn't have asked for better service or a nicer hotel. The General Manager, Debbie welcomed us warmly upon arrival and offered a complimentary upgrade as well as a "treat" package for us to enjoy in our room. she was very professional, both in her appearance and in her interaction with us and guests of the hotel. Once we were in our room, she called to ensure that we were happy with everything in our room. The room was great and the beds were comfortable.We also took in a swim while we were there and the pool is very nice as well. at breakfast the next morning, the breakfast attendant Katice, was so friendly and helpful! I was getting breakfast for myself and our two young children and she jumped right in to help us get situated. I was looking around for a place to sit us all and she had already got us a table and placed a high chair there for our daughter as well. She carried several breakfast items and even helped Presley get into her chair. She was very sweet and was visiting with me and my children as well. The service by everyone we encountered here was just very above and beyond. They all take pride in their property and are extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely stay here again. I have stayed at over a dozen different La Quinta properties and have never actually commented on TripAdvisor, but this hotel and staff were exceptional and I had to share what a great experience we had here. Thanks guys. We truly enjoyed ourselves here.

I enjoy staying at La Quinta. It means so much to be able to take my little dog with me when I go to Baton Rouge. The rooms are so clean and everyone is very friendly. I totally recommend this to everyone traveling there. I would rate it a five!!

We were a party of 4 adults traveling with a large dog and we in need of lodging. Knowing La Quinta Inns are pet friendly, we called and made a reservation while traveling and decided to stay there site unseen. To our amazement, this hotel was great in all aspects. Very clean and modern looking. The rooms were large and nicely decorated and accommodated us and the dog nicely. The area felt safe and there were cameras on the outside of the building. Another plus since we had 2 vehicles and one was a U-Haul van with belongings. They also had a free breakfast with a large assortment of items. Very pleasant staff in breakfast area and front desk. Easy access to Route 12. And the hotel was completely Non-Smoking which is a big plus in my mind. The only negative I can come up with it is that it only had 1 elevator, even though that did not seem to be a problem during our stay. Highly recommend this hotel.
