This hotel is above par. Jannet McGuire, front desk attendant, went out of her way to meet our needs for early check-in and allowing us to check out at one (although the baseball tournament was rai ed out on Sunday). We would recommend this hotel. Beautiful pool and weight room.
We needed a motel on I20 because we were shuttling my elderly mother and her two dogs and two cats halfway to East Texas. We needed to divide the trip in half to give them rest midway. We chose this La Quinta because of its location, easy on and off. My first impression was skeptical. The highway noise was loud in the driveway and lobby, but the guest service rep was kind and made sure we had a first-floor room with easy access to a door. Our room was next to the conference room, where a prayer meeting was underway. Let's just say that the meeting was filled with The Spirit, and I was afraid we would be bothered by their shouting, amen-ing, and clapping. When we reached our room, however, and closed the door, we had peace and quiet--no highway noise, no conference room hallelujahs, just a quiet air conditioner and lots of room. The grounds were great for walking the dogs, and we had plenty of room for cat and dog kennels. The breakfast was standard fare, the pool was small but clean. If you use Bardin Road, which runs behind the motel, you can access many restaurants, shopping centers, and gas stations. I recommend this La Quinta as a good overnight pet-friendly location.
Arrived late. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. They even advised me that there was a group that was acting up but that the police department was on the way to remove the troublemakers. I didn't hear anything so I assume it was resolved. Everything was clean and in place. We will stay here again.
We went here to visit Dallas and Dallas Baptist University (15 min drive) for a Patriot Preview the next day. We came to find out that on Yelp someone said this was opened in December of 2009, so if new is your thing come here. The staff were great and accommodating. The in-hotel c-store they have is nice. The room had the highest hotel room ceiling I've ever seen. The room came with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and flatscreen. It is right off I-20; everything was great and we definitely would recommend. Although I did have one issue, the pinned location on my iPhone was wrong leading me to the other side of the freeway service road but we figured it out eventually.
It was a great place to stay. The beds were awesome and the decor of the lobby was contemporary and welcoming. It also had great breakfast selections, from healthy to guilty pleasures. Would definitely stay here again.
