"Not worth the indoor pool"

When we reserved our room over the phone we requested a crib for my seven month old. Were told not a problem it would be in our room at no extra charge. When we got there we were greeted with smiles and told the printer was backed up so she would bring our sheet to sign to our room, when she got it printed. We got to our room the key didnt work and there was no crib the carpet was nasty looked like it had not been vacuumed in a while. There was urine on our toilet seat and a cover to a razor on the sink. The refrigerator didn't work well and the WiFi was not allowing our phones to connect. We went back to the front desk and was told that the crib had been given away and they didn't know to whom. But that they did show in their computer that we reserved it in advance. So my husband and I had to share our bed with our seven month old who likes his space when sleeping. Needless to say we got no sleep because he could not get comfortable. I did eventually go back to the front desk and sign the paper while I was out walking the hotel at 230 in the morning with my son b/c he didn't have his own space. He never has a problem sleeping through the night. During our stay we did visit the pool and hot tub. Which were both dirty. The hot tub had a green slime rim around it. The pool water was a milky color so needless to say we weren't there long. Once we were ready to go outside to smoke, there is no where for smokers to sit and enjoy them selves, my mother and I found out we were locked out because the other key didn't work either. So had to call my husband to come let us into the building. Now for the beds i am 5 foot tall my mother is 5' 2" and has arthritis in her knee and the top of the beds are at least 35 inches tall. So climbing into bed was a bit of an under statement. After staying here I never want to stay at this La Quinta again. I am thoroughly unimpressed with our stat.

"Has potential"

My bathroom was not fully cleaned but otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. I think if the cleaning staff was more thorough the experience would have been "Very Good". When connecting to WiFi, I received an alarming security message. The room card said to call a tech number for help. After a hold, I got a representative that said this La Quinta was not part of the tech service program and to call the front desk. The cards should be removed from the room then in my opinion, as calling the tech number was wasteful. The pool and hot tub were decent and I liked that they were indoors. The fitness room had a broken elliptical machine and the A/C did not work resulting in a 80 plus room temperature. The breakfast was good. This hotel has potential if the cleaning staff bumps it up.

"Outstanding Guest Service Employees"

My husband and I drive a truck over the road. Our hometown is Sulphur Springs, Texas. Every time we schedule home time we always stay at the La Quinta in Sulphur Springs. The front desk receptionists, Cambra Funderburk and Rachael Norton are awesome. They know we are tired from our travel and they do everything in their power to make sure we are comfortable and taken care of. Both of these wonderful ladies go above and beyond to take care of us. The only complaint we do have however is the lack of housekeeping. The last time we were home we stayed at the La Quinta and our children came to visit. Our granddaughter got sick and we called down to the front desk to request clean bed linens and an extra blanket. We never received the linens. It wasn't until the next night that our room was cleaned. Once it was cleaned we didn't even have a comforter on our bed. The gentleman that was on duty in the maintenance department is the one who made sure we had what we needed. There was a young man that was working the front desk that night. When I spoke with Cambra and Rachael the next morning, they made sure the problem with housekeeping was addressed. If Cambra and Rachael weren't working there, we wouldn't stay there. We do believe however that there needs to be a "clean up" in the housekeeping department. Michelle Waker and James Mabry

"Free Wifi Did Not Work"

No "major" complaints. Stayed one night. However the advertised free wifi would not allow me to run any programs on my phone or laptop, which was important to me on this trip. Vent fan in bathroom really did nothing, but since it was just me, not a major issue. Also, only one elevator for the entire building. I will choose a different lodging facility on next trip.

"Great place to stay with dogs"

This hotel is very accommodating to travelers with pets. The staff are very courteous and helpful. There is also a well-maintained basic fitness room and pool. We stop here four times a year with our dogs on our way between our Tennessee and Texas and homes and always have had a nice stay. The hotel is easy on and off the interstate but still has nice grassy areas to walk the dogs.
