Quick overnight trip to San Jose. I usually stay at Marriott properties, but they were sold out, so I decided to stay here after reading some TA reviews.
After getting my rental car, I proceeded to hotel. It is in an industrial area, at the end of the runway; initially, i was not impressed. I was able to check in early (around 2 PM) which was nice. The outside of the hotel is typical of the La Quintas and looks like it was built in the 70s. That being said, the interior has been redone and the rooms are quite nice. New paint, carpet, beds, showers, etc. Overall, impressed.
Things I loved about this place: Free internet (and it's quick too!). DirectTV, with LG flat screen. Has all HBO channels. I have DirectTV at home, so this was great). Free breakfast and it was quite good (typical options, including waffles, eggs, bacon, etc.). Found staff to be around to re-stock as necessary. Rooms have mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and safe.
Things not to love: Parking. The hotel shares parking with a Burger King and when I got back about 10 PM after meetings, I could not find a parking place. The key is to go around to the back (South East) side of the hotel; lots of parking there. Second thing was the noise from the airport. It didn't wake me or anything, but if you're a light sleeper and the planes are taking off in this direction, it could be bothersome.
Overall, I was very pleased and would definitely stay here again.
The staff & crew at this location are top notch customer service representatives for La Quinta. Every one made it their number one priority to make us as comfortable as humanly possible. We will definitely return.
this hotel has had a great renovation, very nicely done! However, the air condition system doesn't accurately reflect what the digital temperature shows on the unit. I spent way too much time trying to get the room to the right temp - it seems that 60 degrees is really 68! My favorite thing was the outstanding staff - helpful, friendly, professional...I just can't adequately describe how good they were to me. On the down side, just a few minor issues - no local TV channel guide, no pen or paper in the room, no decaf in the room, and no property map in the room. in spite of these little things, I will stay here again. The airport is just minutes away.
I needed to spend a one night stay over on my way to a family reunion and choose this hotel at random because it was in a good price range. I was hugely impressed. The room was completely remodeled, and I am told the whole hotel was remodeled, with new everything. The decor was beautiful. I took pictures with my phone to show my husband. The complementary full breakfast was great, better than Hampton Inns, My only complaint was that I had a hard time finding it in my rental car because it is on the other side of 101 from the airport. I suggest you map it out carefully in advance or call them for exact directions. All in all I was very impressed with this hotel and highly recommend it.
This is a lovely hotel. The staff was excellent in every way, friendly, pleasant, competent, courteous and VERY helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, well appointed and tastefully decorated. Bathroom was very clean and user friendly. Nice fridge provided for our use, and good coffee in the room. The breakfast was good.....well prepared, and the selection was adequate. Only complaint was I'd like to have had MUFFINS as a choice; they had toast and bagels.....which were good! Nice hot breakfast.....eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, juice, cereal, milk, coffee. There was also a computer and printer available for use by the guests! A huge plus!! Laundry facilities were also available, and the pool was beautiful and clean! Loved this place! Thank you so much for a GREAT STAY!
