"Pet friendly hotel"

This is very nice, quiet and clean hotel. We would choose this hotel again. We travel with our small dog, and it's nice to find a good hotel that is pet friendly! It is also an easy walking distance to a good restaurant.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Rooms, continental breakfast, smart TVs , and friendly staff. Walls a little thin (could hear neighbors) and water pressure sometimes a little low but overall great experience!
Mico wave in all rooms, including handicapped in all La Quinta Ins in California and the West Coast. Give the cookies and water to Gold standing members as well as the Eliete members for better customer relations and make your guest fell really special at the gold level.
The smoke alarm started beeping at 2am for about a half hour. Then beeped again at 6:30 and every 10 minutes after. I've never had to be warned to make sure to return the TV remote to desk. Even leaving it in room would cost $75. Doubt I'll stay there again.
"Easy, pet-friendly stop between Bay Area and Southern Nevada"

If you are traveling from the California Bay Area to southern Nevada or Arizona, this La Quinta in Tehachapi is my favorite stopping point if I don't want to drive it all in one day. It's right on the freeway (58) and near a huge Love's travel center with a big store, gasoline, Subway, and McDonalds. Also a 2nd gas station and a diner or grill place right next door. Or you can drive a short distance into town for a lot more options for eating or shopping. Tehachapi is up in the mountains and is very cool in the summer, and it's far, far more pleasant than Bakersfield or Barstow. The La Quinta accepts pets (I travel with a cat to visit my relatives in Nevada) and the pet rooms are pretty decent. I've always gotten a room on the first floor near the door to the parking lot so I don't have haul a cat carrier and pet stuff a long distance. Check-in and check-out have always been super friendly and efficient, and they have an AAA discount. Free wifi, but you get a username and password that cannot be shared between two or more devices, so if you have a laptop and an iPad then you need to pick one, or maybe you can get two logins for one room, I don't know. Extremely quiet, but not very many TV channels. Especially good for guests with small dogs or cats, because the beds rest on metal frames with solid sides that make it impossible for your pet to squeeze in under the bed and get stuck. My only real gripe is that the bathroom light also turns on a really loud fan that scares my cat, but I just bring a small night light that I plug in so my cat can see enough to find his food and water and litter box in the night. I've stayed here several times and always enjoyed it.
