A La Quinta traveler |
As we were in a previous LaQuinta in Tucumcari, we were leary of our second night stay. The staff the rooms the noise were all that of a top end hotel versus the bottom end Tucumcari experience. This was a joy compared to the other. We had just joined the Laquinta Club which was another shocker to receive the accomodations and service in Tucumcari. We thought if this was the norm we would cancel quickly...but it wasnt and this experience in Joplin was wonderful for both of us and our pet......Not to mention 30$ CHEAPER.......
The service was excellent including front desk, breakfast & cleanliness of room. I stay in many hotels and the service I received was above and beyond many hotels.
The room was well appointed and clean.
Very convenient location to shopping and restaurants.
The hotel is old, but it is fixed up very nice and the staff is awesome, have nothing bad to say!
I have nothing but GREAT things to say. From the minute I walked in the front desk staff was very accommodating. Loved the room, the bed and pillows are so soft I could sleep for days! The breakfast was delish! And the host was so friendly and courteous. I was so pleased with this hotel.
Staff greeted us warmly. We brought a dog with us and they were nice enough to give us a room close to the courtyard to make it easy to take him outside. Breakfast was much bigger than average for hotels with similar star ratings. Breakfast quality was above average. Facilities were clean and walls newly painted.Only disappointment was the outdoor pool: it was closed during our stay (Memorial Day weekend), but looked functional and full of water. Other guests seemed confused and puzzled by this as well. Hot tub was also out of order. If it weren't for these disappointments, this hotel would earn 5 stars from me. We've stayed here and will stay here again, hopefully the next time the outdoor pool will be open.
Very nice La Quinta property with attentive, polite staff. Breakfast was the best LQ breakfast we've had (scrambled eggs & scrambled eggs with cheese) with a nice hot buffet line. One oddity was the upgrades in the bathroom were comical: mirror fastened to wall was slanted , caulking on shower wall may have been fingerpainted by a 1st grader - don't know who was responsible for the contract but they didn't QC the contractors' work!
