A La Quinta traveler |
Easy on and off highway, quiet, comfortable, great breakfast spread. We stopped here to break up our 1000 mile trip and find this spot to be perfect avoiding the busy KC area and plenty of food establishments in the Olathe area.
This hotel was clean and convenient and offered very good amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful and eager to accommodate the guests. The shuttle service driver drove me to pick up and return my rental car.
I stay at a lot of La Quinta hotels....this was not one of the better ones. The pool water was cloudy, and the hot tub was not hot, but very cold. The walls are very thin, and I could hear the old people in the next room talking. It seemed like everyone was slamming doors all night and morning...so much for sleeping in. The housekeeping staff was rough looking and acting.....like they had just come off a three day bender. The front desk people were good, and very helpful. I really think they need to hire a proper maintance person to care for this place. Sorry La Quinta, not your finest hour.
This is a nice hotel.It is conveniently located,looks good,and has the amenities needed.The staff was friendly and check-in was easy.Rooms are nicely decorated and modern looking.The negatives:
1.Rooms seem smaller.Bathrooms,while adequate,could use a counter outside.
2.Bathrooms have no ventilation fan-with 4 people in a double bed room,not cool!
3.Room heating/AC unit does not have a fan-only setting....the sudden starts and stops can be annoying.
4.Double rooms need to have queens instaed of doubles.
All in all it was an OK experience,and I would recommend way over the Days Inn next door...

There are no ventilation fans, no counter space for travel products & only 1 hook for everything & everyone! There is no bathtub, just a shower w/ a drain. Water goes everywhere! All the other rooms are fine & the service is usually great! Occasionally you'll fine someone in a bad mood. The breakfast is good except all the creamers are sweet with no other option.
