After having not stayed in a La Quinta for many years, I was sort of forced to stay here because I was travelling with my pet dog. I am so glad I was re-introduced to this chain. The new hotels are wonderful: modern, quiet, spacious, friendly. Based on them, I would have no hesitation in trying the refurbished "old-style" La Quintas. As far as this particular property goes, we found everything to be in fine shape. They are very conveniently located near the Vicksburg National Battlefield, our main reason for being in town. I plan to stay here if I am ever again in Vicksburg. I will continue to try other La Quintas in other towns, as well.

We recently stayed two nights at this LaQuinta during a motorcycle riding vacation. Everything about our stay was positive from check-in to check-out. I especially loved that everytime I walked into our room I was greeted with just the faintest hint of the smell of gardenia----not a bit overpowering, just a tiny hint. My husband didn't even notice it! We asked for and received excellent recommendations of restaurants (Beechwood and Rowdy's). If we ever travel this way again, we'll certainly stay at this LaQuinta.

We travel through Vicksburg several times a year and have settled on this La Quinta as our go-to hotel after trying several others. It's by far the best value for the money that we've found in Vicksburg. It's right by I-20, but there are a few twists and turns to get to the hotel. Print a map before you go the first time. The rooms are clean and don't have that heavy hotel-room-cleaning-solution smell. The heating/cooling system works well and isn't too noisy. The hotel is new enough that it doesn't have any of that worn shabby feel of some motels. I like having interior corridors to access the rooms and an elevator. Parking is fine and the neighborhood feels safe. The beds are soft and comfortable. The bed covers are heavy on your feet and the pillows are massively thick as some reviewers have noted. My family brings their own pillows, but I just punch mine down a few times and it's OK. The breakfast is fine with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, grits, etc. The staff is friendly and were very helpful when we had a minor emergency and needed to visit the local ER. The hotel is pet friendly. We hear dogs when walking down the hall, but only rarely when we're in the very quiet rooms. Our dog has not gotten fleas from this hotel. Bring a good flashlight if you'll need to take your dog out after dark. People don't pick up after their pets and the hotel staff doesn't pooper-scoop often enough to suit me. It's a minefield out there. If the grounds were picked up more often (or other guests were more courteous) I would easily give this hotel 5 stars.

Booked this hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor, and we were certainly not disappointed. Lovely room, spotlessl clean. ideally situated hotel for easy access into and around Vicksburg. There is no restaurant or room service facility, but there were complimentary snacks and drinks early evening, and breakfast. Excellent value for money.

The complete experience, from the reservation to the two-day stay at the La Quinta Inn and Suites Vicksburg, was without a hitch. The rooms were comfortable, the staff was pleasantly responsive and efficient and the rate was very competitive. I could not take advantage of the breakfast provided each morning but my wife reviewed it favorably. All in all, our stay was very positive. We recommend it for consideration and would stay there again.
