"Alexandria All Stars Thank You !"

THANK YOU!!! That does not even begin to express how much appreciate the Manager Jennifer and all of the ladies on her staff. We recently spent 6 nights at this location and had 10 other families also stay there while we were in town for a baseball tournament. Jennifer was very gracious in accommodating all of the families. The ladies during breakfast made sure everyone had plenty of everything they wanted. The ladies at the front desk were so friendly, even when we came in late and all congregated in the lobby to unwind after the games and to let our boys swim late after our last game. A really big thank you goes out to the housekeepers. You ladies were phenomenal!!!!! With all those boys I am sure your job was more difficult than normal. Every time we saw you, you had a smile on your face and were very gracious. When the dryer went out they dried and folded our clothes for us. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here. The entire staff was incredible. Thank you does not seem like enough, but please know we all appreciate everything you did. "Very dissapointed"

The facility looked very worn, for a new hotel that's only four years old. The elevator was too small - rather tight fit for a family of four and the luggage rack. The double beds were different heights. For the worst part, mold was found on the bathroom ceiling, above the shower - possible inadequate ventilation issues.

"Good place for business trip through area"

Made reservation via phone through 800 number while traveling back home on a business trip to Texas. Had previously stayed at another higher-end motel close by but there was no room available, so I chose this one. Was pleased with overall quality & service which seemed in line with the lower room rate.

Well, I've been a LaQuinta member for over 4 years now and just recently became a Gold member. I have to say that this LaQuinta in Morgan City was NOT up to par with LQ standards. Where do I begin? It's just unacceptable for any guest to arrive and turn down the bed to find human black hairs and an infamous "wet spot" on the fitted sheets. That fact alone has me weary to return to LaQuinta. The a/c didn't push out cold air. The lamps made the room feel dark and depressing. The mini fridge was a few heart beats away from dying and the freezer didn't work. The pillowcases had streaks/clorox stains on them. The lumpy mattress was the worst bed I ever slept in at LaQuinta hotels. The shower faucet was falling out the wall with the pvc pipe 2 inches out from the wall. The paint had alot of stains on them in the bathroom. The breakfast bar deserves a failing grade. LaQuinta has always been good about their morning breakfast (more so than a traditional continental breakfast at other establishments) but this one was the pits. No "hot water" to make hot tea or grits (it was ice cold), biscuits were hard like a rock, no hot nothing, hidden bowls and spoons, no fruits, only 2 hard boiled eggs, HOT milk, HOT yoplait yogurt. It was almost comical how bad everything was at the bar. We went to breakfast right at 7am so no reason to have all these "outs", cold "hot water" thermas, hot milk, empty condiment baskets.. Everything was the pits and NO service on hand to tend to the breakfast bar. My husband is an extensive business traveler and he even was frustrated at this hotel. I will never stay at this hotel in Morgan City again. My personal opinion is "even if you are small town, you don't have to have small standards". The only thing I can say nice about this hotel is the welcome "Lagniappe" snack bag they gave us upon check-in with bottled water, chips, and a few chocolate candies. We reserved a Weekend stay for a Marriage retreat, but quickly checked out after breakfast. This hotel just missed the mark on so many levels and we went to the NICER hotel 400 ft away. We usually stay at LQ every trip, but this time we were very disappointed.
