Needed to stay 1 night for business. Fairly dumpy and not modern. Bathroom was loud and cramped (shower/toilet separated by sliding door and sink outside). Mattresses very uncomfortable. Probably would not stay again.
Upon arrival we noticed the upkeep of the landscape outside was not up to par. Everything was overgrown and just plain ugly. Not to mention a for sale sign on the front. It looks like the place is not even open for business. We had to use the stairs in the back to get to our 2nd floor room. The stairwell was full of patches and looked liked a complete mess. Upon entering our room we were greeted with a horrible musty smell and needed to open windows and turn on the air to get the smell out. The room we had was very tiny for a family of 4. The bathroom was super tiny and consisted of a shower (no tub) and a toilet with a pocket sliding door. With having small children, I could not give them a bath because there wasn't a bath tub. The pool was very tiny as well. Looked like an oversized hot tub. The other thing I did not like was the barking dogs next door. They wouldn't stop barking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It was gross and I didn't feel safe sleeping here.
The staff was very friendly and helpful with all my needs. They were prompt and attentive whenever I asked for anything. The rooms were clean and a little small but comfortable. I would definitely stay a Laquinta Inn & Suites again.
Stayed here for 1 night because it was across the street from the business park I had an early morning meeting in. Other choice was the Marriott which was considerably more expensive. This was under $100 for the night. The lobby is in need of an update. You are greeted by a chandelier from the 80's?? Outdated colors throughout the facility. The "suite" was obviously at one time 2 standard connecting rooms. One room had the pullout sofa and the other the bed. Both sides had an identical bathroom. The room appeared to be clean. I say appear because everything was very worn and old that it assumed it was clean. The bathroom was definitely clean. I will give them that. Furniture was old with some damage if you looked close. Given all this I did not take advantage of the breakfast, but then I didn't need to as I had a breakfast meeting. It attracts many different people given the inexpensive prices. Based upon my experience, I wouldn't say it is a business travelers hotel. In short, not the worst place I've stayed at but desperately needs a makeover. Unlikely to return.
We stayed here for five days in June for the Junior National volleyball tournament at the convention center. We often stay at the La Quinta hotel chain while in Florida. I have to admit this hotel was clean and the staff was very nice but the rooms were pretty small with very little drawer and closet space. It is definitely not the nicest La Quinta I have stayed at but it was perfectly fine. I do have to say, though, that the staff was wonderful at this hotel and bent over backwards to accommodate us by finding us rollaway beds, plastic cups when we were hanging out as a large group in the breakfast area at night and even turning on the water machine for us so that we could have water.
This is by no means a bad place to stay; the only real downside to this hotel was the small rooms. Other than that, the stay here were perfectly nice. Thank you to the staff for dealing with our big group and going out of your way to make our stay enjoyable!
