When we arrived, the staff was courteous and all, but walking into our room we noticed the room had a bad odor. My wife thought it was really bad, but I thought it smelled more like an overbearing cleaner smell. We changed and went down to the pool area. The jacuzzi did not work and filthy, also the bottom of the pool was filthy. There were small white pellets of chlorine scattered around as if they only just "shocked" the pool. We were able to sleep alright through the night, but noticed a big wet spot in front of the frig. we went down for breakfast and it was ok. When we went back up to the room and opened the door, OMG, the stench was horrible, like dirty diaper or something. We are guessing because the room became hot and the wet carpet. We collected our things and checked out quickly. The front staff didn't seem too concerned about the problems in the room. They speculate the cleaning crew unplugged the frig the day before and it had defrosted all over the carpet. We hadn't even opened the frig during our stay. First and last for this one.

I made a last-minute reservation for my family and our dog because they are dog-friendly. The desk manager was very friendly and offered me a AAA discount which I didn't think of myself. The cost and comfort was very nice! I would gladly visit them again!

The property was lovey and very well kept including the rooms, pool and spa. Staff was happy to take care of anything we asked for and even went out of their way to "make more" at breakfast for our kids and that means the world to any parent. Stayed in Livermore to be in wine country and near chums. They reserved this for us and what a relief after an expensive mistake in San Francisco. Catering for business people, the hotel was immaculate, pool super, room comfortable and roomy with tea - making facility. Breakfast included was of course "sugary", but the coffee super, and such fun making waffles. Staff efficient.

I booked this hotel because the reviews didn't seem that bad and it seemed okay for a low price. My fiancé and I show up at the hotel at around 11pm. The night auditor, Hector, said that my name wasn't showing up in the system and that every room was completely booked so he couldn't offer us a room. That was fine, we just thought maybe our card didnt go through for the online booking, so we left and stayed at another near by hotel. The next morning, my fiancé was charged for the room at la Quinta, so I called the 3rd party booking company and they called the hotel manager. She told us that the manager said that we didn't show up at all. That the night auditor said nobody came to even check in to that room so he wasnt going to waive the fee, which was a LIE. I ended up calling the hotel myself to speak with the manager, and as soon as I told him who I was, he spoke very rudely to me. He wasnt willing to waive the fee, so I ended up calling their corporate offices. Never again will I stay at another la Quinta if they allow people like that manage their hotels.
