We came down from alaska for vacation with our 3 year. very accomodating. he loved the pool and the breakfast was great! Absolutely loved this hotel. close to outlets, theme parks, amd food. great destination. will.deffinitely be staying here again!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Carlsbad. It was our first trip to this part of California.
Do Plan on visiting during the flower fields event in April/May another time.
The flower fields are wonderful !
It was the "lady bug" event on Sunday that drew large crouds. (April 21st 2013)
The Oceanside boardwalk is teriffic ! Oceanside is just north of Carlsbad.

When we travel for business or leasure we ALWAYS book a La Quinta.
The value and locations are excellant also the breakfasts are wonderful.
This is the second time that we stay there. Every time we have stayed, it has been positive. We stay in the suite and its enough space to do a little of everything. W can bring back food to eat at the table or on the sofa while watching tv. We have a fridge to safe some left overs and a microwave to reheat them when hungry. The king size bed comes in handy when the kids do not want to sleep in the sofa bed. The convenience of having 2 bathrooms is great! The continental breakfast is good and we get a variety of items to pick from. The environment is positive and friendly! It's also very close to the airport and beaches!
The room was perfect!!!Even though the tv was fuzzy, it was missing a cable and the matnence guy was not present, but the nice lady at the front desk walked us through trying to get it to turn on and when we gave up she gladly moved us to the next room over! The pool was great and so was the breakfast!!! I would recommend this to all of my friends and family! It was also less than 15 minutes away from Legoland and 10 minutes away from Camp Pendleton,a marine base.
