A very nice experience. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was accommodating. Pool towels were a minor inconvenience. One has to get towels from the front desk & return there. I understand the need for some control, but most hotels manage to place some towels at the pool itself. A very minor concern to the overall fine experience.
Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Overall the property looked nice and was fairly clean.
The breakfast is your standard waffle maker and carb fest.
Our room did have several stains on the carpet which is a little gross, and the stairwell had standing water on all the landings which is dangerous to say the least. But for a value hotel it is exactly what you would expect.
Upon arrival we could not find a luggage cart and never did see one available for the entire three days we were there. Wi fi does not work in rooms. No AC in lobby or breakfast dining area. On second day arrived back at 4:30pm to find our room had not been cleaned had to wait in HOT lobby until after 5 before we could get into our room. Room next to us had a fire in the AC unit, smoke smell strong, no fire department called. Was told one of the elevators dropped a floor while occupied. The poor over worked staff did their best, but this place needs better management.
La Quinta has consistently been a great choice for us. Service is friendly & efficient, rooms are clean & comfortable, Breakfasts, especially at Ft. Pierce are ample and good variety.
Minor noise disturbance with doors closing too loud but hey - this is not a serious matter overall. Definitely recommend.
Checked in, went to room, saw cockroaches in the bathroom so I went to front desk, said I want a refund. The girl said she would put me in another room, I said no, cockroaches are not room specific. If they are in one room, there all over. She did refund rate and I left asap. Thank goodness I found em before I unpacked and spent the night. Nice hotel other than that, very modern and clean. Cockroaches killed the review though.
