We visit this area often for youth baseball tournaments and usually stay at the Hampton Inn near the Bass Pro Shop. This La Quinta is a big step below any Hampton Inn, but the price via Priceline was very good compared to others in the area, and it's very close to Mistlin Sport Park. The room was clean and impressively quiet, considering the freeway location. Ripon is brutally hot, so good AC is essential, and ours was fine. Breakfast was just OK. Only 2 of 5 lamps in the room worked. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke despite being a no-smoking room. Staff was nice. Didn't get to use pool or gym, but they looked ok.

Our stay had multiple problems. When we first checked in, easily enough, we were sent to a room that had not been cleaned. We were given another room, very promptly and apologetically. In this room, several of the light bulbs did not work and the fan/ air conditioner did not cool the room adequately. We did not complain as we were not going to be in the room that much and didn't want to take the time to wait for the staff to fix it. The cleanliness of the room was below average. All of this speaks to me of management that is not on top of things. The breakfast was quite nice for one of these hotels, with hot items such as eggs and sausage and make your own waffles. There were bagels, English muffins and bread to toast and assorted pastries. We are not talking gourmet, but certainly adequate. This hotel is right by the freeway so not scenic by any means but also surprisingly, not noisy. I guess if you got a great rate this would be an okay deal for an overnight stay, but I won't be returning.

This was a very nice hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was great for us. The breakfast was ok but I get a little tired of the same thing every day. I would stay there again. I have a problem with hotels hiring people that speak no English at all.

This is a great location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Don't miss out on the many restaurants in the area. Esmeralda's, Canal St Grill and the sushi restaurant (can't remember the name). The area is nice and it always seems to be sunny when we are there.

Everything was great!! Checking in was very easy. Very helpful. Gym was provided. Also pool and spa. Rooms are very clean. Customer service was great. The ladies working was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was provided and there was alot to choose from. Everything was warm. Rooms are clean. There are places to eat close by.
