This is a fairly recently constructed La Quinta, and it has virtue of being new. The main thing that distinguishes it from its brethren is the high ceilings in the lobby and rooms, always a positive. The designers didn't take much care to scale the furnishings and decor to the space, though, so you have a lot of empty space on the walls in the lobby. I'd say it's 3 and a half stars when compared to say, a Holiday Inn Express. I took off points for two things: first, the view of my room to the north was of a rusted old school bus. They could have screened this view with some trees or large shrubs. Second, and this is kind of a big deal for me- all of the pillows were foam rubber, which I LOATHE!! I've bought synthetic down pillows at Costco for five bucks each that were infinitely better.
This hotel was a great stopover on our trip. Clean, quiet room and comfortable beds. The breakfast was a good start for the remainder of our trip. We had a ground floor room near the lobby and did not have any noise at all. We will stay here whenever we are in the area again.
Nice La Quinta. Pool was good size and clean. Room was clean and of good size. Pretty average sized. Interior hallways. I hate the ones with exterior doors. Always a security issue for me. Hotel was easy to find and relatively near downtown. Pretty quiet too which is a must for me.
Arrived late at night and the staff was very nice. The beds are very comfortable, had a very good nights sleep. Breakfast was good too! The only bad thing was that we didn't see the hotel/sign until we exited. But it was very well lit in the parking lot. Need to improve the curtains staying back above the a/c unit. But over all was an excellent stay.
We stayed here on the last night of a girl's trip through the Texas Hill Country. The hotel is easy to find and close enough to food and other attractions in Boerne. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom counter was big enough to accommodate two people getting ready in the morning.
The lady at the front desk, I believe her name was Mary, was particularly friendly and helpful!
We would stay here again!
