We stay at La Quinta properties when traveling with our dog. They don't charge a fee for the dog. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. This location is sandwiched between two commercial properties. The parking lot is well lit and they have security cameras that are monitored by the front desk. This hotel has a very small dog run. There is a well maintained dog park in Downey by going North on the 605 freeway about 10 miles, which is close for LA. It is called Rio San Gabriel Park Dog Run which you can find online. The front desk staff was helpful and always had a smile & a greeting for you. The one negative on this place is the free breakfast is not as good as other La Quinta properties. The cold food is very similar but the hot food is undercooked microwaved hash browns, frozen egg pancakes heated in the microwave, very greasy sausage etc. Stick with the cold food and you can make an adequate breakfast. We stayed here twice coming and going from Arizona but the second time just skipped the breakfast and had food elsewhere.

Better than most La Quinta's. The room was delightfully clean and a little bigger than most. Internet worked well. Fitness room has unusually good equipment. Breakfast is a little more skimpy than many LQ's, no yogurt for example, but good.

Very clean and comfortable hotel. When they say non-smoking they mean it to the point that you sigh that you will not smoke in hotel or your you and if you do it at least $250. Finally a hotel is serious about it's no smoking policy! very enjoyable stay.

This hotel is in a light commercial district but is very quiet. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable; no mold in the bathrooms! When we walked in the door the first day, we said "it still smells new!" (Google shows it still under construction March, 2011) We enjoyed the substantial hot breakfast including omlets, meat, and other breakfast items every day. We also enjoyed the large, flat screen TV and free internet access. Staying awhile? Ask about their weekly rate. It is close to 2 large malls, plus other grocery stores and strip malls so shopping is good and there are lots of good, reasonably priced places to eat. Or shop for a few groceries and enjoy a quiet meal cooked in your microwave after a long day. Refrigerators are also available. The guest laundry only has one set of machines but they are very fast. You can dry a whole load of laundry for 25-50 cents! There is a huge theater for your enjoyment during spare time or enjoy a drive to the beach only 30 minutes away. We stayed a month so made use of these important features of the neighborhood. I believe all LQs are non-smoking. This is not a large hotel but it is 4 floors high, not a problem due to the quiet elevator. There is an outdoor hot tub but no pool. We'll be back!

This is a non smoking hotel it's very nice and extreamly small and it's Non Smoking Only hotel. Well if you are a member of the of the LQ Reward Program you might know ? or maybe you dont ? (Cig) Butt you can earn a free night stay once enoughf points have been earned by collecting them each time you stay at one of there locations or you can even buy them if your dumb enoughf and willing to pay for them at a price at 5000% markup. That being said once you have enoughf point then you can reserve a free room free (*not the room tax suckers ) Now this sounds easy but wait whats that fine print say ? something about Lq has absolute god power over where and when you can reserve a room ? based on what ? The CORRECT AWNSER IS The almighty doller" oh sure they will give you a free nights stay ...but there is a catch and that is as long as Lq know's that by giving you a free night stay they are not likely going to be able to sell that room at that location and time anyway.Hey Cash or credit card paying customers come first you reward earning lq low life. So i happened to get a free night at this location because basicly thats the only place they would let me stay on that day (they say when and where) if you dont like it then pick a place and date far far away as possible.So getting to the point I smoke and they know it so lets put him in a non smoking hotel and put up a sign that says $300 DOLLER FINE if caught smoking in any of the rooms. So now what if i smoke in the room then alarms will go off and watch out for the cigg butt police ? boy i wonder if the front desk cleark will loan me his lighter? Went to the room and found other warning signs. did a room sweep for hidden smoking cams didnt find any went in the bathroom and found a hidden smoke alarm behind the exhaust fan out of view i carefully remove it like it was a hidden bomb and smashed it and flushed it donw the toilet and had a smoke. all the smoke went up to the fan and out of the room in a carefree maner and i didn't get fined. Who says crime always has to pay
