. Everything was perfect. I arrived a few hours early but my room was ready ! very nice and helpful reception staff ( i arrived around 1:00pm on 5/1/13). I stayed on second floor ( i asked for quietest area and the lady at desk made sure i had the quietest area although the hotel generally seemed quiet). I had the perfect corner room. I had the best sleep all 4 days. very comfortable bed.. nice super clean bathroom, big room. Because there was a refrigerator and microwave, i was able to go to the foodtown store about 2 miles away for some groceries to save on going out to dinner. The only thing i can say,and its not a criticism, its more of a suggestion: i suggest getting warmer fluorescent lighting. The lighting was a little too cool/harsh. As far as the area, there is not much directly there, but normally at airports there isnt, so you will need a car if you plan on going anywhere. But things are close by. Foodstores, restaurants all a few miles away. Convention center about 10 miles away right off 45 North.

During a recent visit to Houston, I stayed at this La Quinta. The hotel itself wasn't awful but we encountered several major issues during our 5 night stay. First night we tried to get a blanket and were told that housekeeping didn't get them finished before leaving for the day. The next night, I turned down the bed to find blood on the sheets. I went to the front desk and was told that there was no one there who could change the linens; so they moved us to another room. This meant that we had to pack up at 10:00 pm and move. The room did not have 2 beds (I was staying with my son) and once again, had blood on the sheets as well as a dead bug. They did not have another room and no one to change the sheets so I got the sheets and did it myself. The young man at the front desk tried to be helpful, but was limited as to what he could do. They offered me an extra night at the hotel for free but could not do that as I was flying back to Florida. Another issue I found was the coffee maker is kept in the bathroom next to the toilet: gross! That's the first time I've seen that and hopefully, the last.

We stayed here for one night on a stop over from our flights. We called and got the shuttle from the airport to take us to the hotel. They were very fast and friendly on pick up. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The front desk was helpful in telling us where to order pizza (although the pizza was gross and took over hour to come) he said he was sorry and would not recommend them to any one else. The rooms were nice size , beds were comfortable, microwave in room came in handy. We used the pool was clean , hot tub was hot. Wifi in rooms! Breakfast in morning was great took it to go as we had to make a flight. Shuttle was great back to airport . He waited will be grabbed some breakfast to go as there are 5 of us 2 adults and 3 kids. Would definitely stay here again on a stop over!

Nice hotel, but in need of an upgrade. When we stayed there was no flat screen tv?s. The breakfast area was using the cleaning spray on the waffle maker instead of pam or some other spray release. My wife and grand daughter both became ill after using the hot tub. Avoid it at all costs.

We stayed here after a cruise out of Galveston, TX on March 10, 2013. The hotel is older and shows some wear. However, even though an older hotel is kept very clean. It looks like there has been some attempts at upgrading re: granite in the bath and table top for the TV. Our room still had the older style tv's instead of flat screens. The staff was very considerate and was able to check us in early. She also directed us and provided a map to some nearby restaurants in the area until our room was ready. The checkout staff also was very courteous and called the shuttle for us at 5am for our departing flight out of Houston Hobby Airport. The location is very close to the airport, less than 5 minutes. It is also very close to the Enterprise Rental Car return/pickup. That made it very convenient to rent a vehicle for the time we were in Houston. The rental price was a very affordable $29.00 for the day. The only disapointment we experienced in this hotel is that the jacuzzi was not working. It was a cool/windy day and we were really looking forward to relaxing in the whirlpool. We would recommend this hotel for it's location, and easy shuttle to the airport.
